Skyline Trail Cape Breton Highland National Park

There's a sign that points to where the Skyline Trail is on the Cabot Trail. The Skyline Trail is a loop.Dogs are not allowed. But, I saw someone had a stroller for the dog.On the path, there are some really loud frogs that make a weird noise.The end was really pretty. Overlooked the cliff, we saw the trees below and the ocean before us. Extremely windy. Couldn't wear hats without the hats flying off wherever the wind took it.The walk between the beginning and the end is kind of boring and normal. There are places that are lookouts along the way to the end. Some lookouts don't have a fence/railing, so if you fall, you dead.We spent about 2 hrs and 30 min hiking the trail. We weren't able to do the full trail, cause we came late and were running out of time.Got a few bug bites. The bugs swarmed us. We even had bug spray on.

One of the most stunning hike there is. A very easy hike in and out, mostly along crushed gravel or boardwalks, once you reach the end you're presented with a series of platforms connected by boardwalks and stairs along the top of the ridge, presenting unbelievable views of the highway snaking along the side of the mountain and the ocean.Absolutely recommended. Even if it's extremely crowded (which it will be at times) it is worth every annoyance from other people just to experience this view.

Long way to walk to the end. Beautiful but a strong wind there. Be careful.
