My experience with Alcolock has been frustrating and a great source of anger. On March 20/23 the alarm started going off intermittently and continued for 4 more days, regardless of the number of times I called Alcolock for a solution. Each time I called they were experiencing a high number of calls" so I typically waited on hold for 30 minutes or was kicked out of the que and forced to leave a message and try again. At the same time I was having starting problems with the truck and had to have it towed to a garage. My mechanic has been waiting for a code that works since Thursday March 23/23. I called Alcolock on the 24th and was told a code would be provided. It wasn't

Don't understand, no regulatory authority to keep a check on such scammers. Making people life miserable.Dial for new installation, response within seconds.For support after 30 mins wait line get disconnected, dial again 30 mins.... no response.Height of corrupt system. Forcing people to take the wrong path....

Was never informed the Handset was over $1500…. Denied insurance to save 300$, put a security deposit of$490 assuming that was the cost if the device.I WAS NEVER TOLD THE DEVICE WAS WORTH $1500 or EVEN GOT A CHOICE OF WHICH DEVICE I WANTED.$1293,14 Paid after $490 security deposit was deducted. I was never informed that the useddevice was worth $1500…. or else i obviously would have bought insurance.$735 inital cost with installation ( With $490 dep)Installed Feb 22nd, Its now April 18th and im over $2100 in and it’s just the start. Im removing the device and rather give friends gas money or buy them food then give these scammers another dollar., Oh plus the monitoring fee of 77$ is non refundable or transferable at all so add that ontop too.I understand this is suppose to teach people and its suppose to be difficult so people don’t make the same mistakes again but this is daylight robbery….What? Another 2-5K in 6 months?I got a court order so this is not from a DUI.Im a 25 year old student struggling to make ends meet as I just lost my father and now this!??AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Absolutely HORRIBLE company. They have people with a court ordered breathalyzer, and yet you can NEVER get a hold of them. They also screwed up the wiring in my car, which caused the lights on my dashboard to stop working and stopped the computer from communicating efficiently with the engine, causing my car to act as though there was an issue with the catalytic converter. Car can lock you out, and they still won't respond to calls, emails or even showing up at various locations. How is this business contracted by the government of Ontario/ Canada? They have no place being in business at all, let alone contracted by the government!!!

Our alcolock machine malfunctioned today and we called their emergency number. They said they would contact a tech to call us back and give us help It's been over 4 hours and no one has called us back, despite us calling them 5 times already. We are sitting in a parking lot and its freezing cold and we can't even start our car to keep warm. The most recent call we made we were told that they'd put the message through again to the tech. but there was nothing else they could do.This company has the wort customer support of any company I've dealt with. We are on our 3rd machine because they keep malfunctioning. Avoid them at all cost.Edit: So its been about 7 hrs now and still no word from the technician or anyone else at Alcolock. Have called them 3 or 4 more times and all we hear is that they'll send a message to the technician again. Basically, no help.Edit 2: As of 7: 45am the next morning, still no call from the technician or anyone else at Alcolock. As of noon yesterday we haven't been able to use our vehicle.Edit 3: It's 10am and 2 days after the initial call to Alcolock. Still haven't received word from anyone at the company. We've called a few more times and are consistently told that all they can do is notify the on-call tech. We were also told that there is only one tech for all of Canada.

Terrible service.They never answer (unless u r paying the monthly service, but the maintenence number wont).. so u leave your number for 1 business day call back. They dont call back. Leave an email for online services, they dont return the email.Ive never had problems withmy car, but since installing this goverment approvedequipment, i had to boost my car regularly, and replace battery 3 times. And only had service for 4 months!!There is always a recall which u r supposed to pay to fix it, when it locks u out, u cannot drive your vehicle, so i havent had my vehicle now almost 2 weeks!!!Unbelievable that this is govenrment approved and suggested use program!Disappointed doesnt even cut it.. infuriated would be more like it, and i sure wouldnt even give them 1 star but thats the lowest i can go.

My boyfriend had an appointment today to get his vehicle fitted with this device. We had such a positive and stress free experience. All the technicians we encountered were friendly, professional, and very patient as learning about how the device works took some getting used to. The service on the vehicle was efficient and took less time time than what was estimated.

This place is a scam their unit does not work properly ... they want me to disconnect and reconnect my battery... they charge u for every single error their device gives u... I've been on hold for 2 hours their technical department is a joke... u can be stranded in the middle of Siberia... and they won't pick up... I recommend staying away from this company at all costs.... it's a scam and money grab

Alan and Ryan were a great help in navigating how to smoothly deal with all the confusing leg work to get back on road safely. I greatly appreciate everyone's help at alcolock, unfortunately I won't ever be back but everyone is a great help for everyone going forward. Thanks guys.

Absolute joke of a company. I understand we need to learn a lesson as we did the idiotic thing of drinking & driving but do we not get to at least have some sanity and rehabilitation??Have been having battery problems ever since my device was installed. 2 mechanics have told me it is not my alternator, etc. and I bought a new battery to still face the same issues of my battery dying and alcolock has failed to even look in to the problem.Don’t even bother calling after hours because they have no idea what they are doing and have access to no records or anything.
