The food here was good! I got the onion rings and the sweet chicka chicka boom boom burger. Would definitely recommend it!Service was extremely slow, and the waiter did not even bother to check if there was room on the terrace.I would return for the food.

Honestly you could get better burgers anywhere else, unless you're specifically looking for an overloaded burger. When we got there the entrance was blocked off, maybe due to short staff but it made it seem closed. It took a long time to get menus but after that service was fine.I don't know if I would go back there though. They do have a cool rooftop patio though

This is an amazing place, service is super friendly and patient, and the food is awesome. They have lots of options, you can choose your protein(beef, chicken, veggies), buns, and sides, which by themselves are amazing! The poutine is really good, the onion rings are super crispy and tasty and the combination of flavors in each burger is just perfect!Totally recommend it.Plus, they are in a prime spot, you get to enjoy delicious food in one of the iconic Toronto buildings.

Went here for lunch to see a former colleague as The Works Burger in Toronto was recommended by some guides. As someone who doesn’t normally order burgers, I was impressed by how tasty the food was here. I ordered the B.A.B burger which was succulent, flavourful and simply delightful. We found the service to be very good and the staff to be super attentive. They’re very generous too when it comes to portion sizes, in my view. Great spot for lunch in downtown Toronto!

First, regarding the service. We have barely opened the menu cards and the waiter is already approaching and asking what to serve. If there were 2-3 items on the menu, we would probably already know, but with eight pages it's hard to place an order right away. On the plus, free water with ice while browsing the menu. The restaurant offers over a dozen different burgers, including many unusual flavor combinations, which makes it hard to decide quickly. The burgers themselves are kind of small, for 4-5 bites and that's it. But it’s true that the meat is perfect, fresh vegetables also, and generally tasty. Unfortunatelly burger leave you unsatisfied. Normally in other restaurants that I already visited, after burger I had not much space anymore in my tummy for add-ons. Here, You can leave the place full only after mountain of fries, which in turn are terribly greasy.Plenty of space inside restaurant, prices are quite standard. If you’re hungry and want to eat just a burger, it's probably not the best place.

Good food but the overall quality to price ratio just doesn't add up. The food is standard pub fare burgers but at a premium price. The major downside was the sweet potato fries which were just a ball of grease. Service was ok but I had to wait 15 minutes past the time that they said the food would be ready to pick up. Normally I wouldn't care that much about the delay but the restaurant wasn't even close to being busy. Overall if you're in the area, stop in and you may enjoy it but I certainly wouldn't seek it out.

We tried this restaurant back in December 2022 thinking its historical location being it used to be an old bank back in the early 1900’s and right next to the Flat Iron Building would somewhat assure us a good experience. The service was somewhat slow, the staff not at all cheery, and the bathrooms were disgusting. Now 7 months later we thought to try it again because the burgers were decent and perhaps on our last visit staff were tired from the holiday season? We visited Sunday July 9th and still the same non-cheery staff culture. The bathrooms were worse this time… empty paper towel roll, toilet paper all over the floor, and a disgusting customer made no effort to clear the toilet - and we do not know when was the last bathroom check was. The poutine was the same basic cold gravy as it was back in December… no Quebec flare to it other than the cheese curds. We had to flag down the 3 staff for cutlery, and our bills. Each time we would raise our hands coincidentally the staff looked the other way, so it was hard to tell if it was intentional or not… and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. We left after paying our bill. What’s upsetting is as a customer there was a time the tip you left was a reflection of the service received. Now if you don’t want to tip, you get wicked looks from the staff, so you need to tip regardless… no opportunity for the staff to figure out the service was poor. As well, if you don’t tip or tip little… it’s assumed the customer is a jerk. For us, we just won’t visit this business again. We did tip the standard 18% but had we not, I don’t feel the staff would have understood why. It’s so unfortunate because it’s such a great location with an amazing rooftop seating view of the entire St Lawrence Market neighborhood! I often wonder if staff appreciate how good the location their place of work is. I worked as a restaurant manager for 16 years. Despite my our horrible corporate office, we loved our location and sure let the customers feel it too!!
