Handyman Connection

I hired Handyman Connection to come replace my back door. During renovations we found water damage where the door needed to be replaced a long with some of the sub floor. The door opening also needed to be made bigger. Csaba, the serviceman they sent out, was knowledgeable, hard working, understanding (he stayed late to ensure it was secured properly with a lock on it so we stayed safe overnight), and personable. When I called and talked to the office staff, the lady on the phone was very pleasant, polite, and helpful. Would highly recommend using them! Thanks again!

I had a tenant move out of my condo and the unit required some wear and tear repairs throughout. One of those repairs was replacing some light bulbs. The contractor came out and all was well. He went to remove one of the ceiling light fixtures and didn't realize that a screw had to be removed and he ended up breaking the hook that secures the globe to the mounting bracket. Accident for sure and he took ownership of it. We both went to different hardware stores and he called me saying I found the same fixture for $30. That is what I saw as well. When I got the quote to do the repairs Handyman had charged me $80.00 for the fixture that their own contract admitted to breaking and they had increased the labour amount from what was discussed when the contractor was onsite to cover off their costs to replace it. I made numerous calls to Handyman to rectify the issue as I assumed it was just a mistake. I was still planning to use them for the repairs. Long story longer they never returned any of my calls. I would not recommend Handyman Connection in the future. Spend the extra 15 minutes and call the contractors directly.

I had Darren G out to repair a leaking outdoor faucet yesterday and was really impressed with his work. He was kind, professional and efficient. I will certainly use handyman connection again for any minor home repair issues!

Very disappointed with handyman. FYI for anyone new getting a quote they do a WCB 5% charge on top of GST at the end of the bill. They state they are upfront about this charge while others hide this in the quote. I personally believe they are making an excuse, and are making money at 5%. I managed to get this off with the sloppy work done, $20 off and still over the initial budget even with me supplying some materials (Paint). This a $534 single cabinet folks. Im sure the owner wouldn't be happy with putting their name on this. Yes, wedges did get dropped off after but for the price i paid, i do expect myself to not complete any work afterwards and for it to not be wedged. I thought i could save on labor as Tony stated this was only an estimate and we could probably be under budget, as he knew what handyman charged from me showing him. Not sure how many hours he charged for this but i'm not happy with the work done. If the wall wasn't straight to begin with a carpenter with 20+ years should account his build for this or fix it properly afterwards. Tony was a very friendly man, but i'm not 100% satisfied for the price i paid. I shouldn't have to wedge a $500 + cabinet.

Had a so called 'handyman' to my house to provide a simple quote to replace one single 6x6 fence post. Estimate came back at over $1200! For reference, I recently had a professional build the same style fence and that same $1200 would have been enough to cover ~32ft of fencing including the installation of 4 posts. I have tried to reach out to the company as well as the owner directly for an explanation, in fairness it could have been an issue with that one associate. Both the company and it's owner have both ghosted me however so I guess they aren't interested in resolving the problem. Save yourself some time and try the next option.

My husband and I recently purchased a newly renovated townhouse with a distinct feature wall. We wanted to mount our TV and soundbar without destroying it so we called Handyman Connection.The serviceman (I apologize, I don't remember his name) was prompt and was careful to look over the wall to ensure proper attachment would be sound and secure. He first provided us with a non obligitory quote which we were happy with. He had all tools and supplies necessary to do the job in his truck. I was surprised at how quickly he completed the job. We couldn't be happier.Will definitely call again for other jobs in the future!
