Anchor Cafe
Ordered the lobster roll, which was no comparison to the version we had in Nova Scotia. The lobster was overcooked and the bun lacked butter. There were no other toppings or accomplishments. The cod tacos were good and I did like the fries. Service was attentive and efficient and the atmosphere was homey. I'd give the restaurant another go but would skip the lobster.

Really enjoyed this restaurant as a great stop over travelling to/from St. Anthony. The decor is a bit over the top but appreciated!Loved the lobster roll meal.

Absolutely delicious! Great place to eat if you are stopping here or just passing by! Moose Burger and 2 pc cod and chips were amazing! Service was great and cute place! Bakedapple cheese cake and sundae were amazing too!

The chowder was a rich and creamy appetizer, the home fries with my meal were crispy and hot. I was mildly disappointed with my Thai chicken wrap as the lettuce and tomatoes were all wilty, but the flavour was still good!For a fruity flavourful wine" I'd happily recommend the Moose Juice. Great fun/funky atmosphere, awesome service. My parents and I are vegan and were able to find a few things to choose from and they are happy to modify items on the menu as well. I had the spicy Thai wrap with rice instead of chicken (photo).

Food was ok, seafood tacos were overcooked and contained 2 tiny pieces of fish and 1 shrimp. Definitely not the abundance that was described in the menu, nor the quality I was expecting from a seafood taco. The shrimp sandwich was just white bread, bearly toasted, with mostly just mayo and lettuce and a few pieces of shrimp.Seafood chowder was very good though

Most of the people got moose burgers and fries while others got a salad. Service was fast and accurate as we were in a group with limited time. This was very helpful.

Another good meal - one piece haddock and fries. Fish cooked just right, fries long and cooked just right, and some good quality malt vinegar. Some great service from ginger haired waitress

What a cute place!! The Newfoundland decor is beautiful. Lots of details in the decor and lots to look at. Service was friendly and fast. I’ll be back for sure. Stop in if you are visiting Newfoundland.
