J Squared Ice Cream

I would have given 5 stars, but the service was not very good. There was 1 person behind the counter who took orders and processed payment. She kept taking orders and there were people coming through the door and nobody was getting our ice cream, while she kept taking orders. Finally, someone came out of the back room and started making our orders. This was probably by the time there were 6 groups in the very small shop. I would think help should have arrived as soon as a 3rd party stepped through the door. I hope this will not happen again when I buy their ice cream, which is really quite good and worth the higher price. For me, customer service is the priority and a good reason to return/not return to any business.

My favourite place for ice cream! Such unique flavours that I can’t get enough of. Super friendly staff too. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for amazing ice cream (with large scoops!) and good vibes only.

Service was friendly and very helpful in explaining what a few of the flavours tasted like. I decided on the Black Sesame and Shanghai Fog (jasmine tea) and my hubby ordered the Vietnamese Ca Phe (Coffee) and the Thai Iced Tea. They were all very yummy and tasted like their natural flavors. I have had other gourmet ice creams where both the flavor and color were questionable.Just the right amount of sweetness. Their texture is on the softer side. I prefer my ice cream a bit more frozen but that is a personal preference and not a con. Would definitely recommend this place if you like asian drink flavors.

I went there with my family and had three different type of ice cream. Quick Cap and what we ordered. I recommend this but do 2 scoops because one was not good enough. I had 2 scoops on my 2nd visit with two different flavours.1. Very clean and modern shop2. The ice cream was delicious and not overly sweetWhat we ordered1. Sweet Dreams-Good but not something I would say must try2. Shanghai Fog-Delicious with a tasted of Jasmine tea, reminds me of London Fog but Asian style3. Matcha Green Tea- Love matcha green tea and it had a good amount of matcha flavour.

The one downside is that they do not let you sample the different flavors. I tried their black sesame ice cream. You can really taste the black sesame, and this is something that other locations tend to miss the mark on. Will be going back!

Great flavour selection—not too many, but lots of unique Asian flavours :)My favourite is the Black Sesame (fragrant and reminds me of eating tangyuan!)Also the Shanghai Fog is delicious if you like tea—very potent tea flavour but not overbearing.Oolong Milk also is great and tastes like bubble tea.Personally this might be one of my favourite icecream stops I’ve ever been to—we just randomly came upon it, but the flavour selection is unique and none of them are overbearingly sweet!!! Would definitely recommend to try !!

Matcha green tea + Japanese black sesame, tastes great and refreshing, not too sweet. Cone is one of the best I’ve had.

Not my favourite ice cream, but I really wanted to try the “Asian” inspired flavours at this location. I found the ice cream “too soft” for my liking.The flavours were there but not very flavourful.If you’re looking for some more interesting and Asian type flavours like milk tea, hojicha, this is the place to go for those cravings!No seating inside or outside so it’s a little hard to have ice cream with your friends at this location. Mostly just sit in your car and enjoy the ice cream.Service was okay, just did their job and we got our ice cream.

Was just shopping for new hair products at the shoppers next door when I felt I needed some ice cream. I went to this store and was greeted kindly by the person up front. He was very open and warming and we even had some small talk about video games. He had glasses and a hat, I believe his name was eugene? Very kind man and great customer service. The Shanghai fog I ordered also tasted great
