An update: All the attempts and requests for Burke's to take the responsibility for their work and to respect the contract and their obligations have failed. This is the final response from Gary Burke:This client will never be satisfied and if these complaints persist

Our house burned down, and we chose Burke's restoration to fix it. I would highly recommend, they were professional and did a great job restoring our house from scratch. Everything was cleaned up, and we were able to move back in with ease.

I had a great experience with Burkes, they took care of an insurance claim for flooding, took all the furniture away, did all the repairs, and returned everything. Very professional and great communication as well. Highly recommended.

I strongly recommend Burke's Restoration. Gary Burke was very quick to respond, friendly, and knowledgeable. He sent Marshall and Amie to work on two issues (roof leak and basement leak). They were fantastic. Very quiet workers, friendly, and did a terrific job all around. Would use them again if needed.

Insurance companies take our payments without hesitation, but when we have issues in our homes from water, fire, or nature, insurance companies enlist others like Burke's Restoration to give us peace of mind. Unfortunately, companies like Burke's repairs damages with the least price as possible. You don't get the real service you deserve! Total loss of a home always ends up with fighting with your insurance company, the contractor assigned to repair. My suggestion, hire Sobel Adjusting out of Concord Ontario to be your liaison between yourself and your insurance company otherwise you will see how cheap they really are.

Like several other reviews here, I was forced to use these guys after an insurance claim and it was honestly one of the worst experiences I ever had. They never came when they said they would, and they flat out wouldn't answer calls or respond to emails. Mysteriously, when my floors flooded they showed up the very first day to remove the flooring (and secure the contract) but took another four months to put the new flooring back in. They also did a really terrible job and damaged different areas of my condo while doing so.I ended up having another flood and managed to get a different contractor who got the whole job finished in less than two weeks. Do your research before hiring these guys. It's not worth it.

A year ago, my insurance company gave me the name of Burke’s Restoration along with a few others to do some restoration work following a flood in our basement. We got estimates from Burke’s and a few other companies not only on the insurance work but also on some private renovations for our ensuite bathroom, enlarged bedroom closet, powder room, laundry room and another room in our basement.The insurance work was done really well but we put the private work on hold due to covid until this past May. Burke’s presented us with a line-by-line computer-generated estimate that was 15 pages long --- a bit overpowering but at least we knew what was included and appreciated the certainty. As requested, the quote allowed us to purchase most of the finishings for our bathroom ourselves as well as laundry cabinets and shelving from other suppliers.Here’s what we appreciated the most:Their carpenter, Gary, was here every day at 8 AM and was a very meticulous worker. At the end of each day, everything was put back in place and a clean-up was done as well. This enabled us to sleep in our bedroom while the bathroom and closet renos were taking place. He was never pressured to work faster and was very amenable and patient with our requests for changes along the way. He was extremely knowledgeable in his specialty areas.Their plumber, another Gary, was able to correctly detect the source of a leak in a drainpipe that required only one breakthrough in a wall. We were also pleased by the work done by their electrician and tiler. We appreciate the coordination done by their manager, Alan.All the work took a little longer than originally expected (about 10 weeks), but we are very happy how it all came out and are pleased to recommend Burke’s Restoration.

What an amazing Job!!!!My tenant vacated and left the building full of junk and all surfaces were covered in grease. A quick call to Burkes and arranged a site inspection and the following day John & his crew were there to start the cleanup. It took only two days and now looks fresh & clean and ready to be occupied. What a great company!!!!

My mother's condo's wood floor was damaged by water and had to be replaced throughout. Burke's did a fine job of showing choices, scheduling the work (difficult due to several pandemic lockdowns), and getting it done as promptly as possible. The results look great!

Burke's Restoration did an AMAZING job restoring our house from top to bottom, ( due to an extensive water damage) and they did it well ahead of schedule. They let us know what would be done every step of the way and allowed us to be part of the decision making.Our house looks more than amazing and we could not be happier with the way they handled everything and the way it turned out!Thank you soooooooo much Burke's Restoration for everything!! You made our Christmas this year! We'll definitely be recommending you to friends, family and neighbours!
