Words on Wood

I love Words on Wood and have since it opened. The store itself is beautiful and filled with so unique products- it’s like walking into a magazine! Whenever I have to buy a gift, I go there first and am never disappointed. The owner Angela has created many custom pieces for me and I am always thrilled with the results. If you have a chance to stop by, do it! You’ll definitely leave with something you love!

Finally had the chance to go to the store a few days ago. Was really disappointed with the service. The lady doing stuff in the back was so rude, and would stare at you as thought you were stealing. I just didn’t get a good vibe unfortunately. I wanted to support local , but definitely not this store.

We had such a great time doing sign painting with wine. The ladies hosting were very welcoming and helpful. Very relaxed, fun environment. You can go at your own pace, and we had lovely signs in the end. Already planning our next sign painting night.

I loved this store. Last week, I popped in and I don’t think I’ll be returning. The employee was surrounded by her teacher friends. As usual, teachers complaining about what a rough year! It was so loud and obnoxious.I couldn’t wait to leave. I wish I could post all the beautiful gift sets I’ve purchased over the years. My bathrooms too have so many beautiful pieces. I always had a lot of help from a previous employee. Lovely lady, but I was told she no longer works there. Unfortunately, this employee could not offer any help. She had no idea what she was doing. After 20 minutes of wasting my time I left and disappointment and frustrated. I don’t think I’ve ever left a bad review. I will miss this store.

Love love love this store and the variety of items they carry. The sales staff was great helping me pick some items for my new mantle and dining room table. If you are looking for something unique, check this place out. I will definitely be back.

Planned a girls diy wood signs workshop and right from the start the 2 women who own the store were fabulous. They answered all my questions, accommodated a last minute change and were very well prepared for our arrival. Both women were so chill and fun to sit and chat with while assisting with customers on a very busy day! Props to the small business you have created, you are definitely deserving of 5 stars! Can’t want to plan the next one!!

I love shopping at Words on Wood in Whitby! They have a beautiful collection of hand-made and other assorted items for the home, trailer, cottage, or as a gift.I love that I can browse the store or do a quick online order that can be picked up promptly if needed. Today I bought a set of 3 gorgeous blush pots and while the wrong pot set was given to me by accident, they made it better immediately by dropping off the correct ones at my doorstep. They go above and beyond to make sure their customers receive the best service.I encourage you to check out their collection and once allowed again, join in on one of their workshops...such a fun way to gather with friends and explore your creative side!

Had my bachelorette party there and it was great! We did the wine and sign workshop where we could bring our own wine and snacks. Angela was such a huge help and we had such a great time with her. There's also a lot of neat stuff in the store for you to look at while your paint is drying. Great experience! Will definitely come back :)

Love this store so much. Great products and home ideas. The work shops are amazing and so much fun. The owner was very knowledgeable and really helpful when I needed to design a custom sign for my home decor. This store is pure inspiration for the holiday season. The 12 Days of Christmas has amazing deals as well.
