Ottawa Tennis & Lawn Bowling Club

This place is pretty good for people who enjoy tennis, volleyball, and outdoor swimming. It is a bit expensive, especially if you don't have a membership. The restaurant on the top floor is okay, though the options are a bit limited. I did enjoy the sandwich I got. For people in wheel chairs, the restaurant would not be accessable, seeing as the only way up (to my knowledge) was a set of stairs. It is also quite nice to sit and watch the tennis games going on below. Overall, its a good place.

Beach volleyball courts are well maintained and perfect for friendly games. One downside is that the courts are a little cramped next to each other so balls have a tendency to fly into neighboring courts which may interrupt games. Otherwise, the club is pretty nice with a bar on sight serving food and beverages.

I’ve only been here to play volleyball. The club hosts a variety of sports like tennis, lawn bowling and volleyball. It is a older club that offers a membership. Parking is horrible- the only option is street parking so give yourself lots of time to get there.

Friendly staff. Quick service. Good food. Great place to grab a beer after a match.

My friend who is a member of the Ottawa Tennis & Bowling Club took me on a circuitous bike ride to end up at the club for refreshments. Apparently the non tennis facilities are open to the public. It is near a bike path and therefore a great refreshment and bathroom rest spot.

We attended a wedding here. Venue was great, convenient and staff was very helpful. The food, from an outside restaurant was spectacular. The servers were amazing. Highly recommend!

****WEDDING REVIEW ONLY****Extremely glad we chose the Ottawa Tennis and Lawn Bowling Club as the venue for our wedding. Price was very reasonable for the venue; it has such a nice cottage type feel to it and was just so relaxed. We had the ceremony down on the lawn, followed by the reception upstairs in the hall.Claire, the event and customer service manager, was lovely and helped us with anything we needed (lawn set up, hall layout, general logistics, etc.).Adrian, the owner of the Cameron (bar/restaurant upstairs) handled the bar side of things and was a beauty to work with. He was very accommodating and we were able to work out a great deal on the wine we wanted as well as the plan for drinks for the evening (open bar for two hours followed by a toonie bar for the rest of the night.)The Urban Element handles the catering and it was some of the best food we've had, wedding or otherwise. While they have a set menu, we were able to request whatever we wanted which was awesome (went for an Italian buffet with late-night poutine, fantastic).We would strongly recommend the club to anyone for a wedding. I have just joined this year and already my experience has been really good. Amazing tennis courts, great staff. I just hope the patio can open soon once the government restrictions stop so I can enjoy a nice cold beer after a game of tennis.

Nice recreational facility. I played tennis there as a kid and the lawn bowling lanes have been replaced by beach volleyball courts - so it's pretty lively during the Summer weekday nights. There's a decent pub upstairs too, that's great for after-game drinks. It's a little dated in terms of design, very much function over design. However, I hear the whole facility is getting a facelift soon.
