Bought he bread and toast here many times. It's pretty good. Especially the roll cakes and milk toast. Will visit often.

What a disgusting cake we received! We bought a large fresh mango cake to celebrate my mom’s birthday and the mangos inside the cake was all discoloured. We always buy our birthday cakes here and now there is no going back. I should’ve listened to the recent reviews. The owner of this bakery doesn’t seem ethical to me.

I was so excited to buy some freshly baked goodies for my familly on familly day just to find out at the cashier that this place is only excepting cash payment only! The cost of Debit Card or MC payment cost is only 3 cents per transaction, as a customer I'm willing to even pay you extra $1 to be able use my debit. What is the real reason behind it? I truly don't understand!It should be Metrotown Mall Policy to have all stores within the mall to except Cash,Debit or MC as a payment option! Bad Business Practice!

Bought a variety of typical sweet buns. Except the taro root buns, the filling of other buns were full of greasy, sticky saturated, hydrogenated fat. The crusts were oily too. Ended up dumping most of them. Disappointed.

Amazing cake! I was very impressed of the cake they made for my son's birthday/Christmas party. 25 by 25 was more than enough to feed the close to 80 guests. Everyone loved the taste and how beautiful it looked with all the fresh fruit. Would highly recommend Maxim's a it was easy and good price!

TL;DR - DO NOT BUY CAKES HEREBought my wedding cake here and upon receiving the cake my brother noticed the cake has cracking, holes, and marks all over the cake. When questioned they pretty much told him there is nothing they can do and go fix it yourself at the venue. My groomsman went and got additional flowers to cover it back up with the little time we had on our wedding day.Upon slicing the cake its 80-85% cream and no fruit filling, please look at pictures of two slices my wife and I got. We ordered a fresh fruit cake. Do you see any fresh fruit?We went back to talk to the manager and long story short they said the cake looks fine with the filling being empty.(look at pictures) I said, so I pay you money and you make whatever and i'm supposed to accept it like that with no filling? The manager said look at the price list, all the basic cakes are the same price so if you pick fresh fruit cake its going to not have any fruit inside because of the cost. That is very unprofessional, especially for a wedding cake, why not charge more and make it proper, we already spend $560 on it. Then the reply was “oh it will be too heavy if we add more fruit” then just kept feeding excuses why its right and thats how it is.When questioned about the cake aesthetics , they said the employee should have fixed it, but I asked why is it like that in the first place? Pretty much said. Sorry. Nothing we can do. You accepted the cake so we assume its all good. And then said sorry thats it. It's cash only. Chinese bakery's in Chinatown and Richmond are more affordable but this is the best chinese bakery for the area

I've always liked their cakes. They are yummy and have perfect amount of sweetness. Price is also great. I would recommend this to anyone who loves eating good bakes.

Walking around Metro town you should come here to by some bakery. Variety of cake, birthday cake, cookies and snacks.I always find Maxim bakery store to taste a delicious cake.Because of covid 19, they just allow 4 customers in store.Compare price here with the others: good
