Van Isle Storage

I have had a 5th wheel stored at Van Isle Storage since March/April 2019 when the pandemic started and until today. This was not my unit but arranged for storage. Unfortunately the person who owned the unit was struck with hard times and unable to pay the storage. The cooperation and patience from Chris and Ryan at Van Isle was very appreciated by myself and owner of 5th wheel. We communicated on a regular basis which eased any worry or conflict. I became a customer of Van Isle storage when they first opened, and had a great experience with Kris and the yard. Some growing pains while they built the yard to what it is now. But once up to and what I consider beyond capacity for this yard is where things went wrong!!! Fast…….I was asked by the owner to move my trailer over, me being me, I said “yes of course”,even though the yard is a hour away. I went to go move it and then discovered I was blocked in by two other trailers that they had moved days before, (without any consideration of me being able to get my trailer out. See pics).I wasn’t able to move my trailer as requested and instead placed a call into the owners. They said “they will have the trailers moved by my next visit” well that came and went and trailers had not been moved at all, but luckily for me I was able to speak with one of the trailer owners and he replied quote “the owners never called and asked as if he would move it, and continued to say he would have moved it no problem moving, had he known”. Funny I said as the owner assured me not once but twice that they were called. Hummmmmm that is tricky isn’t it. So someone’s a liar!!! Just not sure who?, well it wasn’t the trailer owner as he had a witness. So when a business owner can’t own up to their responsibilities and take ownership of this kinda situation, then I think people should know. Honesty and business are closely related and lying to customers is well bad for business. So 1 star they get.

Thanks Chris and Ryan. I have been storing my Camper boat and utility trailer there for a while now. I Love the new improved gate access. Thanks for always keeping me informed on what's new with the lot etc.

In March 2019 I purchased a vehicle for importation into US. I needed to wait nearly a year for it to be eligable for importation. I needed storage on a Sunday afternoon, Chris came to yard opened up and got me and my vehicle settled in. After a year of dealing with Chris and Ryan I have to say you cannot ask for nicer people to deal with. When my time was up I returned for my vehicle. It was just as I left it. The past year i have stored both of my RV trailers at Van Isle storage yard. I was able to have both moved there in a short time frame. The communication i receive is always friendly and positive .The entrance is accessible after hours which makes it easier to stop by and check on my RV’s. I always am impressed with the cleanliness and well organized lot.I feel very confident that my RV’s are safe and it gives me piece of mind .

A great newer RV/Boat Storage in South Ladysmith. Stored my Motorhome there for 6 mos. Good security with easy access. I found the owners friendly and very accommodating. I highly recommend this storage facility and being new, they have room.....Wayne G.

The management is communicative and responsive to questions or inquiries and sending updates. Very easy to work with and the place feels secure and is easy to access off the highway. Good, local no-nonsense storage place without a lot of frills and extras that you have to pay for.

My trailer unit is very secure at the facility. They have recently upgraded gate access with an electric gate, very convenient. And it is personal, they know my name, with a few hundred customers. Access is perfect for me along a well traveled highway. I give very few reviews, this one I am glad to provide!

Price is right. Very slanty yard. Automatic gate is working again now which is great.

We have been storing our trailer at this facility almost two years now and find the owners to be very quick to respond to any of our questions. Love the fact it has a electronic gate. This facility is in a perfect location for us as we dont have to pull our trailer up and down the malahat, saving us lots of gas dollars.
