The Health Unit is an amazing place with outstanding services! I love how knowledgeable the staff are and they are all so friendly and helpful especially after having a baby. This is where I had both of my children vaccinated and met with Public Health Nurse who followed them as babies. I also love the hearing program they have.

I would rather DIE than have any dealings with these people.

Important contact only has voicemail? One to two days response time? With the seasonal flu shots being promoted by Public Health for those at risk, I ask, where are they? There are dozens of small pharmacies in Nanaimo all treading water, asking for us to be patient patients because of the misinformation regarding the availability of the seasonal flu shots. I'm not asking about COVID-19. We all know that may be a long time coming, but a regular program like SFS appears to have a botched implementation again. The botch is the error of promoting what is not yet available, again. Stop over promising and under delivering the goods. It makes for more unhinged people roaming, and screaming looking for what is not there.

They have vaccitation clinics for children as well as private appointments. Also provides milestone screening and weight / growth tracking from newborn and up with a public health nurse. Provides other services as well. Very clean facility, wonderful with children.

I came here twice. The first person I talked to was good but the second person I talked to I was not impressed with. I literally would have been better off talking to some random homeless drug addict.

Give all the parking to their staff, making mothers and kids walk from the road
