This is a hard review to write as the experience was so all over the place.Pros: food quality is greatCons: it’s pricy and the staff seem bothered you’re thereWe showed up over two hours before the online posted closing time figuring we had lots of time. The staff seemed annoyed we were there and the server was really keen on getting us ordered as fast as possible. We were barely sitting down and we were basically asked to hurry up and order. While I completely appreciate shifts may be ending soon and whatnot, I don’t need someone hovering over me as I open the menu and telling me 3 times they’re closing. One of the servers was exceptionally polite and so friendly but in all honesty, the damage to the vibe / experience was already done.The food was amazing though, very happy with the quality of the food and the meal. We left satisfied, albeit rushed. It’s a beautiful spot, I can only imagine in the summer how beautiful it is. Everything was great except the 2/3 staff members.

Beautiful restaurant, pleasant atmosphere.My fried chicken was cold in the inside, but not undercooked; how did they manage that? My husband’s fish was mediocre. The sweet potato fries were excellent. My little side of Mac and cheese was not great at all.Service is good and fast.

Great looking restaurant! A bit pricey for me. But my friend took me there for lunch. The food was so good! Our server was awesome. Have lunch with by the water .. perfect

Stopped for a bite with my daughter while driving through town. Glad she chose it. Fish tacos and mushroom soup were perfect. Waitress was very kind and the service was great. Will definitely stop in again.

Great food and atmosphere. We were greeted with a smile and our server was amazing. Food came out fast, hot, and delicious. We will definitely be back soon!

Rating is so high probably due to the absence of competition. Red hair receptionist is not very friendly. We waited 45min-1 hour for our food. Salmon bowl at $30 is way overpriced. They charged $2 extra for mustard-ketchup. Only positive point for them is that they have a patio and welcome dogs..

Food and the ambience were absolutely great here but I was really disappointed by the service here. We visited here yesterday evening and we were approached by the server within a few mins to take our drinks and food order. The server was friendly and we got our drinks quickly however our food was delayed for more than half an hour. During this time none of the staff or servers came to ask us if we got our food or not.Finally someone came with our food but delivered it to the table beside us. People on the other table passed our food to us but none of the servers cared to inquire. Finally one lady server came to ask and I mentioned to her that our food was delivered to the wrong table but she didn't even apologize.We are brown couples and I am not sure if this was the reason we had this treatment but it certainly looked like that as everyone around us were white and did not receive this type of service.I hope the staff of this restaurant treats everyone equally and respects the cultural differences.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch with friends at the newly opened Hook Line & Sinker Restaurant on Main St in Haliburton. They did a beautiful job renovating the building. Really nice ambiance in the place. The design is open with a lovely sit down bar in the Center. The booths are very comfortable and offer a lot of space as well as some privacy.I eat vegetarian and I am happy to say that there are a few vegetarian options on the menu even though the place has strong emphasis on fish. I tried their sweet potato fries, garden salad and cauliflower tacos. Everything tasted great!Staff was very friendly and accommodating even though there are some early opening kinks to work out. The owner dropped by our table to introduce herself and I have to say that personal touch is greatly appreciated!Wishing you all great success and we will be back.

This place was fantastic. Great view on the patio. Service was good. Food was great. My wife ordered the cod & chips, and I ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos, both were fantastic! Highly recommend!PS: Alexis was our server. She was fantastic!
