If you like pancakes, go here! Yes, they are good! It is a nice small store with great staff. But if you’re expecting real dutch pancakes, unfortunately they’re not here. Real dutch pancakes are without baking powder. I would kindly advise them to add Kroketten and Bitterballen to the menu. Needs a fryer and the frozen stuff to be deep fried, so low risk. Would add to the dutch flair and add to the lunch menu...

Great brunch pancakes. It's the perfect amount of food to eat too. It looks like a lot but they aren't as thick as regular pancakes so you can easily eat the entire pancake.

This is a gem of a pancake spot! Don't let the quaint look fool you the food is exceptional. From sweet to savory this place is wonderful! Hope it can get a following would be a shame to see them go. Not a cheap breakfast place, but the quality of the food is well worth it!If you haven't been I recommend it highly.

Large portions, tasty food, many options, unique food, average price. The Maggi on the table was a nice touch. The Amsterdam mural on the wall was nice as well.The bad. My wife and I (both small in stature) could barely squeeze into the seating offered us... just not enough space! I get that they want to seat as many as possible, but that was very uncomfortable.My wife's meal was fine. My pancake was okay but the bacon and sausage were well overcooked. I dont mind extra crispy bacon but this was well beyond that!! The coffee was weak.The place is dirty. (My seat cushion was full of crumbs. The ceiling fan blades must not have been dusted in a year. The washrooms were dirty.)I might return and try the Mediterranean or western. But I was very disappointed. I was hoping for a nice experience, but I left wishing for so much more.

This place is fabulous. I felt right at home in this quaint and very relaxing restaurant. They make the pancakes to order and from scratch . Boy Oh oh boy are they delicious. Huge servings. I had the berry , cherry , strawberry with ice cream on top. Mmmm. Scrumptious. The waitress was most pleasant as she recommended the mushroom bacon with chive pancake which was devoured with ease. Not a bite left on our plates. The coffee was superb . The menu has so many choices so we must return .

Leiden Dutch Pancake House
Interesting options, in that you probably wouldn't find it anywhere else in the area. Ultimately though, for me, the pancake seemed a bit dry and the place was sadly a bit run down for a new restaurant. The others in my party found theirs not overly dry, so the texture likely varies a fair amount depending on what you order.

Went for breakfast on Sunday morning. The pancakes are delicious and huge. I had bacon, cheese and mushrooms, and the cheese was crispy and yummy.It's a very small place and they do have a a regular breakfast menu too if you are not into the pancakes.That said, our breakfast took almost 45 minutes to arrive and we were on the verge of walking out when it showed up. Other tables did not seem to have the same issue and were served much more quickly. We were a table of 3 so not a large party.Most entrees are in the 10-14$ range so not cheap for breakfast. A nice concept and worth a try as it is different. Just don't be in a hurry

Tasty food, big portions. Just keep in mind it may take longer than average for food to be ready. Otherwise, everything was great and would visit again.

Leiden Dutch Pancake House
My wife and I had lunch at Leiden Dutch Pancake House. I had the apple and bacon pancake and she had one with onion, mushroom, cheese and tomato. My wife enjoyed her pancake but I guess Dutch pancakes just aren't my thing! I sampled her savory pancake and enjoyed it more than mine but can't say I was a big fan of either.Service was attentive and friendly. The new owners have done some sprucing up of the restaurant and hopefully will continue with these efforts.
