Ott's Carpentry & Remodeling

I hired Ott's Carpentry & Remodeling on April 24, 2022. We found him on a michigan custom woodworking site. He came to our home with a book of photos and seemed very confident in his work. We had over a dozen photos printed and explained exactly what we wanted. We also had numerous other cabinets in our home we wanted the new cabinets to match. He said this would be no problem. He offered me a price and we accepted. The work consisted of 2 under window cabinets, 4 book shelves, fireplace mantel, and entry coat closet with bench.None of items were built to correct size, or specs agreed upon. Paint job looks horrible with imperfections everywhere, No shine and rough finish. Cabinet grade lumber was not used.Terry stated zero MDF would be used. However upon inspection mdf was used on multiple cabinets and bench.When confronted with issues Terry stated he's not perfect and he builds cabinets his style and he feels it is good enough for alot of people."Terry offered money back guarantee when he sold the job but refused to honor his commitment.I would not recommend Terry or Ott's Carpentry & Remodeling
