The Briar Patch Farm & Nursery

My favourite nursery as there is an astounding collection of annuals, perennials, shrubs,trees, houseplants. Also they have the more unusual plants that one can't find thru the big box stores. In addition their prices are far more reasonable than one can find in Halifax or near Kentville. I have returned annually ever since I discovered the nursery thru happenstance. I've no doubt spent in excess of $1k here but gardening is my hobby, my addiction.

I moved to Nova Scotia last year and started on my gardening Journey in Nova Scotia. I was very excited and tried finding every garden nursery I could. I found the #Briarpatchnursery and loved it. I bought hundreds of dollars of plants there until this year when I met the owner who treated me with disrespect and acted like he was so special and talked down to me. I asked about some peonies that were out in the front and he made it known that they were his and that they would cost at lest 200$ a plant and acted like I would not be able to afford it. When I asked where he got them he told me I wouldn’t be able to get them cause he ordered a truck load. I found him disrespectful and it will be the last time I buy from the briar patch.SincerelyDisappointed

Visited this business on 15 May 2021. I stopped by (for a friend of mine) to see if they had certain types of plants. Initially I found the staff to be helpful, as I did not know what I was looking for. However that changed when I informed the lady that had helped me prior, that I would be needing more of a certain type of plant. When I was trying to figure out the number and types of plants I needed I was told to “hurry up and decide, I don’t have all afternoon to spend with one customer. I’ve got other people to help” Needless to say, I was offended by this comment. I would think that in these uncertain times, customer service would be a little better given that most people are just happy to be working and having people come by to spend their hard earned money at a small business. I did not feel welcomed and will not be returning to this business. I will also make sure friends and family hear of my experience.

Amazing nursery . I went to Blomidon Nursery and the same tree crab apple was $199.00 but at Briar Patch it was on sale for $79.00so I bought 2. Live the people here , great prices and amazing nursery. I know it's rough these days with us consumers paying alot of money but this nursery understands and prices accordingly. This is now my go go place in NS

Visited this Garden centre earlier this season and was treated very rudely by a female staff member. Decided to go back with my husband again today thinking maybe the sraff member was just having a bad day. Questioned the same person about a preordered tree and was treated even worse this time. We will not be back! We will take our business and money down the road to Glad Gardens where the staff is amazing and so friendly and appreciative of our business.

We stopped by unplanned and met a gentleman.Very friendly and helpful, even though it's actually closed at the moment.We'll be back in spring when the gardening season starts one.

A lot of variety here! Houseplants, tropicals, trees and outdoor garden plants. This is my new favourite garden center because of the HUGE selection!

Staff are always very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. I've had the pleasure of filling three properties with trees, shrubs, and flowers from Briar Patch. Highly recommend.

Stunning beautiful garden shop--one of my favorite spots in the Annapolis Valley. Great selection and very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Landscaping is incredible!!!
