SaltyDog Retreat

We have used Salty Dog for both day and long term boarding for our very active hound and feel that Jamie provides outstanding care. We especially appreciate the convenience of Salty Dog’s pick up and drop off service and Jamie’s fair rates. In some previous boarding situations our girl has refused to eat and lost weight, however, she returns from Salty Dog happy and healthy. She looks forward to her walks and her playtime with her new doggy friends. Jamie’s patient, intuitive, and calm care has been our best dog boarding experience.

My Journey has been cared for by Jamie intermittently for 2 1/2 months. He goes willingly, and returns happy and played out. I am pleased and appreciated the pickup times and the drop off courtesy Jamie has in place when I am unable to leave work.I recommend Salty Dog Daycare

There’s only one word that comes to mind with Jaime at Salty Dog - extraordinary. Our dog is older and has always been difficult and fearful with other dogs and with strangers. We’ve been very hesitant to board him for vacations and as you can imagine that has impacted our lives. Six months ago we found Jaimie. She explained that Fred needed a vacation from us as much as we did from him. Well, since he’s been at Salty Dog doggie care he’s been socialized, great with other dogs, and with people. He’s literally a changed dog.Thank you Jaime!

We got there and no one was home. Two digs outside in a very small dog run. Tried call twice but no answer. Left messages but no one called back.

This is a special place, my dogs Luna and Blue actually get excited when Jaimeh the owner comes and get them. I have a habit off calling her at the last minute when I need dog sitting, which I should really work on. However Jaimeh has been incredibly flexible and so far has always welcomed my dogs.The most important part for me is that Luna and Blue always come back home happy has could be and stress less. I was hesitant at first to send my tiny 3.7lb Chihuahua to daycare as she is fragile & sensitive - but Jaime took premium care of her - she is never as happy as the days she gets to spend at Salty Dog! She made many good new doggy friends and enjoys Jamies company immensely. Jaime is always kind, patient and respectful. Highly recommend Salty Dog!

Beautiful little furries! Oh so cute

I have a rambunctious bull mastiff boxer mix, and she is strong and strong willed. Jamie has not only walked her, but pairs her up with dogs she likes which tend to be on the small side even though she is a big dog. Jamie takes great care of the property, and the dogs. They have plenty of room to run around in and to take nice long leashed walks. The house and kennels are clean. The dogs are fed in a kennel so there are no fights over food. Jamie is experienced in dog behavior.I highly recommend the Salty Dog for the day or over nights. She is also willing to take the dog out for a washroom break if you are gone longer than expected. Great service for island dogs!

Jamie was great! Super responsive, easy check in, the dogs had a great time and are clean/pampered!! Not to mention one helluva view up there!! Lastly the price is fantastic, definitely recommend.

A fantastic experience for both me and my pup! Pick up and drop off is simple and efficient! My dog loves it! Would recommend!
