We purchased a 100-year-old house and knew it needed some updating (electrical, plumbing, windows), but our ONE concern was the foundation. We wanted to make sure the house was structurally sound and was not in need of any major foundation work. He assured us that from his findings, the house was indeed solid. Fast forward 5 months.... and we were hit with a $31,000 unexpected foundation repair as our house is sinking/swaying and doesn't have enough posts to hold up the weight. Would NOT recommend. If we would have known how bad it was, we either could have negotiated a better price to cover this or walked away.

Very polite and professional. Ben went out of the way for us and refused to take payment for the extra time they spent helping us. Definitely will be recommending them in the future. Thanks Ben it was much appreciated!

Inspection was performed in a timely matter, but not very high quality. While Ben did identify a number of windows with broken seals he failed to notify us of one completely broken window. Also noted in the inspection report was a toilet that needs to be resealed. That was true, however the entire truth is that the floor itself is sagging, causing the toilet to present at a slight angle. A sagging floor is substantially more expensive to fix than a toilet that needs a new seal. The inspection was priced at $500 and the report was delivered within a few days.UPDATE 18 May 2022:Received a call from Ben Durant of Durant Inspections. Ben inquired about the items I listed in the above review and sincerely apologized for mistakes made. Ben offered help/services/some form of reparation for the above items. Over the phone, Ben seemed genuinely concerned and gave the impression that he would act to set the record straight. To me as a consumer that's about as much as you can ask for when it comes to customer service. I see it fair to change my rating to 4 stars, acknowledging that things can get missed but when put in a situation to fix what was wronged, Ben seemed to jump on it.I was not paid or given free service or anything of the like to change this review, just an honest customer service phone call.
