Such a well kept and beautiful golf course… one of my favourites in the area. However, my last experience was a little tainted by the volunteer starter. My playing partner and I were running a little late but still made it to the tee box at 4:31 for our 4:30 tee time. He was very rude and told us we were late" and he sent 2 groups of 4 at 4:30. Im not normally one to complain about these things but the tone of his voice and lack of understanding was a little unecessary. Overall

The fairways and greens were well maintained. And the views paired with the sunset made for an good round. Pace of play with golf carts was really good if you’re not stuck waiting for someone in front. Great for experience and beginner golfers looking for a challenge

Hi , played there this year and noticed that there were no benches available for sitting and limited ball washers, this needs to be rectified ASAP!!! as people with various physical abilities are limited to these and need to rest on such a long walk.

Was a great course! Played the Sparrow 18 holes and it was very nicely set up. A few holes where a little shorter than I would have perfered but that's alright. The course was nice and soft and the greens where in very good shape. Will defenitly be back again!

I have played here once, and it's not the most excellent course, but it was nice to play outside of Toronto. However, I purchased two ticket vouchers good for 18 holes for two players. When I reached out by phone, they didn't pick up as they were about to reach their expiration date. I left a voicemail to call me back (per their instructions) but never received a call back. I emailed them, no response. By now, the vouchers are expired, and I threw money in the trash without even being able to play! This is unacceptable, and they have lost a golf player as I'll never go there again.

Great golf course, excellent driving range facility with putting/chipping green. Offers two courses, Sparrow and Heron.Course is always well maintained, tee boxes are okay, greens are fantastic but some spots could use some TLC! Overall a great course for experienced and beginners and everything in between!

New to Welland and looking to find a course we would like to join.Cardinal Lakes will not be it.1. Pro shop senior money grabber only interested in how would you like to pay.2. Starter, cart guy never came out of his little hut. My tiny wife had to load her own bag.3. Starter says if you hurry you can tee off now"...maybe we would have liked to practice.4. Starter guy says " first tee is over there".5. We had to beg for a scorecard.6. Would have been helpful if we had know there are only johnny on the spots for washrooms and that you don't come back to the clubhouse after 9.7. Starter

Do not golf here. They just care about your golf fees. Zero etiquette. It's overbooked every single time. The rangers do not enforce any rules. Our group almost got killed two different times by the group behind us, which included a gentleman who actually works at the course as a RANGER. It's a low-end course that is a very dangerous place to play. Management, clean up your act and hire some rangers with some golf etiquette. This particular ranger should be fired. Leaving his name out to avoid embarrassing his family.

Once you past the unfriendly staff and cashless requirements (not accepting cash is technically illegal) the golf courses are decent. I play the Sparrow with my wife. Course is normally in good condition, although does not drain well. Greens are good and challenging. Pace of play is normally Ok although can be slow in peak times. Brought the cart back and was instructed to drive it around the corner for sanitation". We would consider a membership but the check ins and post round environment(s) are not places we want to spend a lot of time in. Trying to move past the businesses policies of the last 2 years won't happen at this place. But will play again as the course checks the boxes for myself and my wife."

Golfed the shorter Par 67 Sparrow on the weekend. It had rained a lot the night before. The drainage of the course is not great. Lots of puddles especially in the bunkers. As for the course, I would guess that the signature hole is the par 5 seventh. A beautiful dogleg left with water along most of the left side. I also enjoyed playing the back to back par 3s on the 11th and 12th holes. The most interesting feature of this 18 was that the 12th and 15th had adjoining greens. My son and I putted from one green to the other for fun.
