I feel sick when I am writing this review. I have been waiting for the decision of my application from more than a year and a half. I had a golden opportunity with few other university but my professor on Grenfell campus kept insisting, I would be given an admission on coming intake. Now I don't hear back from him , and the admission team doesn't reply either. I just wish I had never felt on to trap of the university. All the applying applicants, please don't trust and wait for the decision from this university.

I am thoroughly disappointed. Nearly everything is falling apart at this University. Not only the infrastructure (which leaks and falls to the ground) but the quality of the education as well. Professors are not valued at all, which prevent them from giving the proper care to students they would want to give. Everyone, including Profs, are scraping by to survive while the president makes close to half a million dollars a year ($487'000) how is that fair? Not only that but international students are, for lack of better term, being milked for their money at every corner.Nothing runs smoothly. Be sure that the administration will fail at the simplest task, from printing the wrong questions on an important exam, to planning around world changing events (like COVID). There is way too much to be said in one review. The only redeeming quality is the price (before raise) of the tuition but even that they managed to mess up, Go to Halifax instead. Same price (with new tuition) and way better environment

I am always grateful to the nice staff in MUN and the nice people in St. John's. It was a great 2.5 years I spent there, got my degree and slowly blended into the Canadian culture (I am an international student). To those negative comments, I meant losers are gonna complain no matter which university or which company they go.

Attn: International Students....please do not come to this University, as I wasted 6 years....most racist place in Canada after USA... Fee might be cheap, so is the environment !!! Please do not ruin your future!

Surprisingly, MUN is a good world-class University with serene environment for study and effective infrastructure. Applying from overseas their response during the admission process was superb. I also commend their friendly, focused and result-oriented faculty that hit the ground running from day one. Really impressed!

Do they really think what they offer is worth 3500$ per semester? They have doubled their tuition fees in 2021. Do they think this is some kind of « Ivy School »?I personally studied at McGill and paid 1500$ per semester. I took advanced courses at the University of Toronto and paid 4000$ for the semester. If you’re an immigrant you shouldn’t even bother coming to Memorial or St.John’s.It’s very hard for immigrants to find jobs in St.Johns because they give preference to their people. Even if you do find a job, you won’t make more than 16$/hour, while in other parts of the country you could make 20-25$/h even as a student. Rent might be slightly cheaper (though not much different than Quebec or smaller towns in Ontario), but your opportunities and career will suffer. I lived in St.Johns and attended Memorial, I wouldn’t recommend :/

Everything is good until you see the truth.International students are treated very badly. They will hold your registration even after paying 75% of the total fees and with more than 3 semesters remaining. I have to wait a whole semester and miss my graduation just because they ask for all your money within the first year.Go somewhere else, same price better treatment and can even find job easily.Shame on you and shame on.
