Our server Santiago last night was great! Drinks super tasty too. Wanted to order some churros, but they were sold out, they must be tasty! Coming back to try them soon!

Definitely pick this place if you are looking for more of a bar atmosphere than a restaurant. It was very loud, we could barely hear each other, and this was around 8:00. The food was ok, my carne asada was very dry and tough. My sister ordered tacos with no cilantro. It came loaded with cilantro. When she asked the waiter about it, he took it back. When he brought her a new dish, it felt like the same one with some of the cilantro scraped off. She couldn't eat it. Again, maybe as a bar it's good but I don't recommend eating here.

We had a great time with very friendly service and great food. Homemade tortillas were a surprising bonus and the habanero hot sauce was very fresh and a nice addition to our tacos. Good all day happy hour menu too.

I never leave bad reviews but I was extremely disappointed in this restaurant. My partner and I got tacos. They were definitely the worst tacos that we’ve ever had. I really regret not going to Tacofino but the menu online for this spot looked very good.My partner got 4 tacos and only enjoyed 1 of them. The fish taco was a dinky little fish stick that was stone cold. The rice was white minute rice with corn niblets and zero spice. The refried beans were stone cold as well.I had the vegetarian tacos which came out cold with out the ingredients that were stated on the menu. When I asked my server about it she said that the cook didn’t want to make my tacos soggy with the salsa that was promised.Why offer such a thing on the menu and go and change it without communicating that with the guest?The tofu tacos were cold and soggy with zero spice. The avocado tacos had potential. The rice and refried beans were the same situation as my boyfriend’s.By the time I was done trying to attempt eating this meal the server comes out with the salsa that was supposed to be on my tacos. By then I was just so over this experience.Save your time and money and go to Tacofino, Mexican Cafe, Darcy’s pub or even sadly Quesada. I’ve had better tacos at Taco Bell.

Bathrooms disgusting...vomit in the sink, the only toilet working and the toilet seat was broken...food cold and chewy...didnt get cutlery until my food was colder...one of our friends didn't even get her food until we were all done and she still had to pay for it after they had to remake it twice. We get them the benefit of the doubt but it's a no go. Not coming again. Some of the drink were okay.

3 friends and I foolishly bought $15 tickets to this establishment’s Cinco de Mayo After party, which was scheduled from 9pm-1am last night. Carelessly none of us had read any reviews about this place first, and we thought we would have dinner beforehand for a fun night out. We made reservations for 7:30pm. When we arrived at the restaurant, we waited for quite awhile at the front door before one of the employees walked by, noticed us and came to greet us. We mentioned that we were there for the event and started to pull out our $15 mobile tickets but were interrupted and informed that Cinco de Mayo was the day before, and that tonight the event was a boxing fight on paper-view. We were shocked as no where on our ticket did it mention any broadcasting of a boxing fight. We were told that much later, after the official boxing event would be the cinco de mayo after party. When we walked in towards our seats, nothing was decorated for Cinco de Mayo… it looked like any ordinary restaurant. Once seated, we waited awhile for our server to bring us menus. We ordered drinks, which took a long time to arrive. Then we ordered salt & pepper wings, beef, rockfish tacos which were served with rice and beans, as well as salsa, guacamole and chips. Everything we ordered tasted bland and over cooked. The wings had so much fat in them, and the taco chips were stale. The mixed drinks were mild and tasted off. We finished dinner around 9pm and waited around for the “after party” and noticed a DJ, who was located by the bathrooms, which were filthy!! Inside of the bathroom stall doors were filled with nasty stains. The DJ starting blasting some techno Latin music, accompanied by some dull ceiling laser lights. We left shortly after, walked right into 2 different busy nearby pubs, with entertaining and lively music, and were thankfully not charged for entry. We ended up having the best time, once we left Sonora. Our Saturday night out in the town was saved after all!

There is a lot to talk about from my experience at the Sonora. A group of us arrived with a reservation for dinner. We found ourselves a suitable place to sit. We waited for a server to appear eventually, and he arrived with menus for about half of us. The menus were sticky and unclean, just like the table top and the floor.Drinks were ordered and took about 20 minutes for the first ones to be served. The food orders started trickling to the table quite a bit later, but at least we were able to get the table top sanitized in the meantime.Most of us found the meals to be just ok; my Carne Asada was way over cooked and under seasoned and served as a pile of ingredients that made it difficult to eat. The impressive mass of the serving dish looked interesting but lost its appeal once I began to eat from itYes, we were a largish group, but we did have a reservation, so I hoped they would be prepared, which they clearly were not. Except that they took the time to automatically add a gratuity to the bill, but failed to mention that fact when we paid, so we ended up double+ tipping. A couple of people who had kept receipts went back to claim a refund for that. I didn't do so, as my final recollection of the place was of the organisms of dubious provenance growing from the grout around the restroom sink. Returning for any reason is not in my agenda.

The restaurant wasn't super busy when we got there around 7:30-8pm. We got the tacos. They weren't very large portions, but they were good. Our server was awesome and very attentive. They had a DJ and seemed like it turned into more of a bar later in the evening. The music was a bit loud and ended up with a migraine, but the food and service were great!

A really nice to place have some authentic mexican dishes. I loved tbe chicken quesadillas there. Another must try are the tacos and torilla chips along with in-house prepared dips. To top it up, Churros made it even sweeter. Absolutely loved the service from Joe and the Chef. Will definitely visit again! Keep up the good service.
