I met Judy and Jim over 20 years ago when I attended the puppy kindergarten and beginner classes with my first golden. Ten years later, when she passed, I contacted Judy about getting another golden. She was very helpful when I explained what I was looking for, and she invited us to meet the Dad of the next litter they were going to breed. We again attended puppy kindergarten and beginner classes. Judy loved to see pictures of Kenzie and how she was doing. I was devastated when I lost her at 10 years as well. I decided I wanted another golden and Judy helped me with my requests. I waited a year for the golden I wanted to have her pups and was thrilled when Judy let me know he was ready to go. Judy was so supportive during the whole process, helping to get the right golden for me. We are in puppy kindergarten right now and he is a sweetheart. I can’t thank Judy and Jim enough for their kindness when I lost Kenzie and all their help waiting for Sawyer. They are always available to answer questions and help with concerns. They have a great process for matching puppies and parents and not everyone meets their criteria for their puppies. It’s a big responsibility to ensure puppies are placed with the right match to ensure good lives for their puppies. I foster kittens for a local cat rescue and understand the process of good matches. My fiancé and I just got our first puppy from Jim and Judy. He is the most handsome, healthy, intelligent, and cute boy ever. The care and attention they gave our pup does not go unseen. Jim and Judy are a master of their craft. I would say to anyone, if you want a healthy golden contact Jim & Judy and they will contact you at their soonest convenience.

Very experienced breeders, their goldens are amazing. We are so happy with our little puppy. Judy was available via email and answered my million questions. Jim and Judy were lovely to meet. They invited us over to meet them and their dogs prior to starting this whole process and provided quality information to guide us throughout. They kept us informed on mom and puppies after birth. Would definitely have more goldens through them :)

Judy and Jim are such wonderful, responsible, and careful breeders! They truly love their dogs, and the litters are raised in the house as part of the family, with lots of love and attention. We are so happy with our little girl from their March 2019 litter. She is an amazing, smart, loving dog with tons of character. Judy and Jim also board dogs, so our girl stays with them when needed.

Judy and Jim are the best breeders I have come across. They are very concerned with who gets their goldens, they make sure you get the perfect match for your family. The puppies are amazing and we are extremely happy with our choice of getting one from them. Would recommend them hands down!

This is the easiest 5 star review I have given before.We have a beautiful puppy that we named Marlowe, he came from Blue Heron where he was born, nurtured and cared for by the best!Judy and Jim are saints. They provided constant updates and photos while we waited to bring Marlowe home when he was vaccinated and ready! They also provide Marlowe's detailed family history!We are already anticipating getting another puppy from Blue Heron when the time is right. Definitely recommend Judy and Jim for anyone looking to add a Golden to their home.12/10 service and puppies!

Absolutely Wonderful In Every Way!!!Our experience was absolutely wonderful! Both Judy and Jim are friendly, kind and a pleasure to deal with.They take great pride in their work, and their love for their dogs is unquestionable. The quality of their puppies is extraordinary. We have two Goldens from Blueheron: Grady (2) and Penelope (8 weeks). Judy and Jim are the most responsible breeders I have ever encountered. The adult dogs and puppies are so well-cared for - I want to be one of their dogs in my next life. Judy and Jim are incredibly responsive to questions and always have the best advice. In the past 20 years, my husband and I have purchased two Golden Retrievers from Blue Heron Kennels and we will soon be getting our third - a puppy - this summer. Jim and Judy Stewart’s dogs have amazing, gentle and smart personalities. They are healthy and so well cared for.
