Allstyle Cabinet Doors

We ordered our cabinet fronts custom instead of IKEA. We wanted a custom look. While I love the style of our doors and the colour, the paint quality is very poor. Less than 6 months after installation wear can be seen and the paint easily chips off at the edges sometimes just with cleaning (I use water and vinegar and that’s it no heavy solvents). I have to get new paint touch ups sent regularly as the paint they use gels after less than a month. In addiction, the production took way longer than we were told and the communication about this was terrible. My husband would have to send multiple emails before getting a response. Our island end was sent back twice as it was delivered with multiple gouges in the wood or inadequate spray coverage. They did a great job at building me a custom hood vent though, it was exactly as I wanted. I think if the paint quality was better I wouldn’t have rated them so low. A brand new kitchen shouldn’t need paint touch ups every few months.

We went with AllStyle because we did not like the cheap-looking finish of the Ikea shaker doors and panels.We liked the great service before the order, we got a sample quickly and were happy with the support provided during our selection of doors and panels.However once the order was placed we ran into two main issues:1- The production was delayed, we were initially hoping to get our order delivered by the end of December, which we knew was not guaranteed but was still a possibility according to our initial exchange. It then was delayed to early January but we ended up receiving the order the 3rd week of January. We had to cancel our countertops measurements a total of 4 times. This was a bit frustrating but we understood that due to the holiday season and the weather conditions production and shipping might have been affected. We did not feel like these setbacks were communicated to us properly, and we had to ask for updates a few times.2- When we started the installation, we quickly noticed two things:First, some, if not most of the pieces came in with some areas already damaged. It's not that noticeable but when paying attention, especially in the corners, it's visible.Second, the paint chips quite easily, especially at the junction between the finished front and the back of the panels. We bumped it a few times (for example, bumping the inside corner by getting a big pot out of the cabinet) and it chipped paint away. We had to re-apply some (they provide a small bottle), but it's still slightly visible in some parts.Now with all the reviews about the great quality we were expecting more, we're still not sure if there was a problem in the manufacturing of our order or if it's supposed to be like that.We had another sample from a concurrent company and when we tested the two samples side by side (we should have done this earlier!) the other sample took much more blunt force before starting to chip.We have not found more chipping / damaging since it's all been installed and after the first few days of usage, it's been now about 4 weeks, so it's also possible that in some areas the paint was more fragile and just got easily damaged.Besides those two issues, the doors do look great, much better than the ones from Ikea and we like the color, the customization and the overall shape of their shaker door more than the one from the other company we looked at. We just hope they will last long enough to justify the extra costs.Edit: a month later, still haven't heard back from them on our above issues. Today, while working on the last pieces of the kitchen (backsplash installation), we were going to install the two last finishing panels and noticed they were 1 inch shorter than the ones quoted and paid for. We're trying to get in touch to get them redone but still, no luck so far.

Alex was absolutely wonderful to work with throughout this project. We started by sending through our ikea plan and he came back with a quote for all doors and panels. We made a few adjustments with glass doors and different size panels and paid the deposit to get things moving. Alex was very transparent with lead times and was extremely helpful throughout the installation process. Our installer made an error with drilling the wrong cabinet handle size on all of our upper glass cabinets. Alex provided a great experience to have them returned, plugged properly and repainted. You can't tell at all that there was ever a hole where it shouldn't have been. We had another issue with a popped screw on a panel which was quickly plugged and repainted for us as well at a very cost effective price. My kitchen involved a custom base cabinet which Alex was able to produce for us as well. We had two tone cabinets and glass uppers. We also dropped off our crown moulding to be sprayed to the same white as our cabinets. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the customer service and the product. My kitchen looks like a magazine and we couldn't be more pleased. Thank you Alex and the Allstyle team!

Absolutely terrible quality on the doors that we ordered. Almost every door had issues with the paint, assembly, and finish. After waiting an extended amount of time from original time frame given, to poor quality, and even worse communication, I had to repair and repaint on my own time. Alex was absolutely terrible with his correspondence back and forth. Would not recommend ordering from this company if you have any hope in a quality product.

This place provides top notch quality work. My initial experience was very positive. I was given lots of design help, many useful suggestions and a lot of hand holding while going through the ordering process. Jodie in particular had a great knack of quickly seeing my design and working through the details.The only reason this is not a 5 star review is some difficulty with communication. My impression is Allstyle is a very busy place given the success of their product and may get overwhelmed with orders. They took longer than expected to deliver and had trouble replying to emails on time. However, a negative review here produced a phone call by the owner within 10 minutes and next day my order was sitting in my garage - $11,000.00 worth of cabinetry. They clearly want the customer to be satisfied.In the end I am very pleased, the quality of the material and the work is particularly high. The attention to detail is excellent. My kitchen looks great. If you can overlook some delays (particularly after an IKEA kitchen event where everybody does their kitchen!) this place is worth the wait.

Spent $7000 on cabinet doors, drawer fronts, gables etc in 2019. This is happening to my cabinets 4 years later. Cracking and chipping of the paint. Absolutely no water has touched the drawer face. Ikea is 10x times better than this. Truly disappointing especially since I reached out over email about this and zero response.

My Kitchen Is Beautiful.I live a few blocks from another cabinet door supplier and I was tempted to order from them and paint the doors myself. In the end I choose to have them professionally done by Allstyle and I'm so happy I did. The doors are beautiful and look better than I ever imagined. Dealing with Allstyle was easy. Shout out to Kari for excellent customer service. They delivered right on time when they said they would. The doors were all exactly the dimensions ordered and were very carefully wrapped in protective foam for delivery. A bonus for me is that they use Benjamin Moore paints which is what I've been using for my renovations. I would highly recommend Allstyle to anyone.

We purchased a full set of kitchen cabinet doors and panels to fit our new ikea kitchen earlier this year. We wanted to used it for a while before leaving a review.The doors and panels were ready within 5 weeks after confirming the order. However about a quarter of the doors had tiny paint chips on them. After back and forth discussion with Alex from Allstyle, they finally agreed to remake the doors instead of repainting them. Also the side panels for the island were thicker than expected and were also remake. They were quick to refinish our doors and panels.After putting everything together, we were a bit disappointed to see tiny gaps between the joints of our shaker style doors (as pictured). Some joints are not as noticeable as others. But overall for the price they cost we thought they should be perfect or at least look much better than the original ikea ones. That being said the paint does stay on nicely and it’s easy to wipe clean.

We didn’t want to get doors from Ikea for a few reasons, one was that they looked very plastic like and none of the greys they had worked in our decor. We were considering Ikea white colour doors but the quality was lacking we felt in the finish. The Ikea doors are basically wrapped thermofoil doors which is why they look so plastic like.From the moment I sent the email to Alex till today I have been completely impressed with the professionalism of Alex. He has continuously responded and answered all my concerns. We had him build us the doors and for a more custom look and deeper more usable drawer space we had him build us some drawers as well. There is a night and day difference between the quality of Allstyle drawers compared to Ikea drawers.There were no delays whatsoever. The colours we chose on a swatch matched identical to the the final colour on the doors.I am thoroughly satisfied! Thank you Alex. You have been very patient and helpful with me. I appreciate all your help and your continuous communication. I will continue to rave and provide referrals to Alex for business.

Jodie came to my house and helped me design my kitchen (Ikea retrofit), she totally got my style and what I was going for, she thought of everything! The ordering process was simple and my doors were delivered in 6 weeks. It was great working with AllStyle! We received two wrong sized doors and all it took was a simple phone call to Alex, he was very apologetic and worked to get the issue resolved. The doors are beautiful and look very high quality.
