Mark's Piano Services Tuning Moving Rebuilding Repairs

I called and these people were so rude. First he was saying that he would never serve me because I was 30 minuets away, I have had tuners come from 1+ hours away to tune my piano. Then when I asked about the service I wanted (which was to simply install a muffler rail) he told me that it would cost 700+ dollars to add it when every other technician quoted me less than $350. He then went on to ask what piano I had. I told him I had an older studio upright piano that was in perfect condition. He then told me “for the price you should buy new piano with new pedal that is better quality to replace this piano”.So basically go to these guys if you want to be told to just “buy a new piano” and throw away the one that was left to you by a relative.

Mark is a straight shooter. He isn't gonna waste your time or beat around the bush. He will give you advice you can count on and a personal service few could match. Not for the faint if heart:)

Booked a service to get a piano moved and tuned from a purchase on Kijiji. His website wasn’t working so information entered onto it just disappeared. Everytime I phoned he told me I needed to enter things onto the website. Almost lost my purchase due to the delays on his side due to technical issues. When the piano was moved, he scheduled it 4 hours earlier than agreed necessitating leaving work to meet the movers. The movers, the only part he wasn’t involved in were professional and quick and are responsible for the only bright spot in this interaction.Scheduling the tuning went better, however he was such a snob that he refused to tune the piano on sight even before looking at the mechanics. He was rude to my wife and scoffed that we should abandon this piano and buy one from his shop. I had read that he was rude and normally listen to reviews but in this case I proceeded despite every step he was involved in going wrong. Terrible demeanour, terrible business practice, and a truly terrible experience.

The best place to get your piano fixed up. The work is done with immense passion and care, and Mark is incredibly knowledgeable in the field.

Mark is genuine. He tells it like it is. I was fortunate to trade in my less than stellar piano for one that suits my needs at a price we could both agree on. He has tuned my piano in the past and I'm happy with his service.

I was going to buy a piano and wanted to get it assessed. I asked Mark to go see it. He said that he didn't like the mechanism, but that the piano was in mint condition and that if I was an amateur piano player, it was ok for me to buy it. I bought it.Then he asked me to book a tuning with him.He came, tuned the piano.When he left, I noticed some keys had a clicky noise. I asked him to come back to check the clicky noise.He said, he couldn't fix that. That he didn't like my piano's mechanism, and that I should learn to live with that noise. That if I wanted a better sounding piano, I should go and buy one from him. Even though, jus recently he had assessed it and told me it was ok for me to buy it.He assessed it and tuned it, but then he was not willing to fix the clicky noise that he left after tuning it. I feel like I waisted my money.

Thank you for moving our grand piano to our new home. We weren't sure if it would fit into our new house. The movers were friendly and helpful and moved my piano with care.

We shipped over from UK a 106 year old Ibach grand piano. I had been neglected. Mark took on the piano and completely refurbished it to a beautiful standard. It was a joy to be able to drop into his workshop to see progress and discuss the techniques he was using. He then shipped the piano to our home 30 minutes from Guelph and set it up. It is superb and his price was consderably lower than alternatives. He continues to visit to tune. Mark is at the top of his profession and he is also completely honest and straightforward, not just a semi skilled piano tuner.
