After spending almost 3 hours in the waiting area all that was done was I called into the admin office where my name and address was put onto their computer and afterwards I was asked to go back into the waiting room until an advisor became available. THREE HOURS LATER i had still not seen an advisor. I had to leave as my paid for car parking ticket ran out and there was still no idea how much longer I would have to wait. Another member of the public said to me at 9.30am Be prepared to wait ALL DAY" before I could see anyone. The lady said yesterday there was only ONE VOLUNTEER ADVISOR in the Citizen's Advice Bureau. This is just intolerable but I blame the UK Government for deliberately setting up the way Citizens Advice Help is set up by using Volunteers (mostly retired persons) hoping people will not make any complaints because they deliberately use Volunteers. It is time the UK Government staff all UK Citizen Advice Offices with PAID Fully QUALIFIED STAFF and not UNDERSTAFF their offices using one maybe two volunteer advisors who seem to take a VERY VERY LONG TIME to deal with member's of the public complaints or enquiries. In my case I was forced to leave otherwise I would have ended up with a large parking ticket and I had to walk 1.5 miles in the pouring rain to and from the nearest long stay car park. Other parking was only 30 mins or Full for Local Government Employees.I live 6 miles away and there is No local bus service where I live."

I had a great expeirence with bruce there legal advisor he literally saved me getting evicted after bankruptcy till they had council house for me an done his best for me hes unfortunately left, ppl need to remember theyre busy an will help if possible

Very helpful people, but if you just walk in you can expect a long wait. Phone and make a appointment and reduce the waiting time as they have limited resources. When dealing with Council staff even they can't work miracles.

I have been receiving advice and assistance from Erica Young at Hamilton CAB and I have to say this service has been excellent. Not only does Erica have extensive knowledge and experience in dealing with a variety of issues for me, but she has been patient, kind and understanding at every appointment.I don't know what I would have done without her.First class!

I don't agree with the bad reviews on here. The service and assistance I have received from CAB in Hamilton has been amazing! I have been helped by 3 different advisors and they have all worked together to help me and the advice I have been given has helped me immensely.

Wouldn’t advise using them for help with your mental state or pip assessment, I phoned when I got my appointment to ask for someone to sit in on my appointment I was told they’d phone back obviously just fobbing me off I phoned again the day before my appointment (yesterday) I only asked because my severe anxiety my mental health nurse said they do it. Then I called them just now a couple of hours before my appointment then I was lied to as the lady said they don’t do it when I know for a fact Vincent that works there done my brothers now as usual I’m on my own with nowhere to turn to for help!!

Went for some advice about some issues I have been having at work and what rights I actually have? The person who I was ment to be getting advise from had no idea and had to google every question I had asked and on top of that was still unable to tell me, I was then asked to come back another day for whatever reason I don't know?. Completely useless and can't give anyone advice.
