Sheena was extremely helpful in scheduling in the 2 of us on Valentine's Day. We got a nice window seat, where you can view the riverside. For a warm day, outdoor patio would be nice.-The food overall was all delicious; the 2 sauces that came with the cauliflower bites and the donuts were amazing.

We went for the burgers. It is a burger bar after all. But we also went for the deck and The View, it being a lovely day. My friend had heard great things about the food but we were both disappointed. Certainly not terrible but maybe the word is Bland. It livened up a lot when we added salt and pepper which we had to ask for. I wouldn't avoid this place because of my comments about the food that's for sure. But be warned. The deck and The View on the other hand are outstanding. Got to be one of the best in the city especially if you like views of a working river. I'm a tall guy with a bit of a tricky back so I will say the chairs on the deck we're not what a guy like me needs in a chair. I'm okay today but I wasn't sure I was going to be after an hour and a half or two hours sitting in those chairs. But as with the earlier comment, don't avoid this place just because I said the chairs were a bit tricky. You can think of this as either a bit of a mixed review or a note to the restaurant the spice up their food a bit and think about some better chairs or maybe some chair cushions. The staff for uniformly extremely Pleasant and highly efficient.

I came here for the first time with my work friends. It was ladies night. I loved the restaurant where it is located. They have a small parking place and street parking is always full. We ordered shrimp gyozo, calamari, Ahi tuna tataki, Brussel sprouts, brushetta, Nashville hot chicken burger and bang bang chicken bowl. For dessert drunken donut and brownie. We ordered wine from the happy hour menu plus some cocktails. We loved their food and service. I loved the drunken donut more.

This is my first time and Romer’s and the food was overall delicious although there were a couple of flaws. I’m not too much of a complainer when it comes with food and am grateful that I didn’t get sick from the cold lobster in the burger. The burger was moist and delicious overall. Their Ahi Tuna was the best dish I had and would have it again.Service was slow and could be improved. (I had to constantly reach for my glass on the opposite side of the table and and server would ask to hand the empty plates)

The five stars? Well that was four weeks ago, not sure what happened tonight but we stopped in for a quick drink after a bike ride. Asked a server inside if we could sit on the right side patio near our bikes, “sure” she said, “sit anywhere.”Immediately after grabbing a table with a great view, a very snooty and rude sever told us we had to go to the other patio because they were closing this side. I reiterated the original response which shouldn’t have been a problem since we only came for a drink and the patio was full, she said, ok, and walked off, with attitude. To be clear, there were 5 tables there, one had just got their food, another table of 6, still waiting. To make this even longer story short, the lovely restaurant by the water which normally is quite friendly and efficient was a bit of a disappointment tonight. We sat there for twenty minutes still waiting for the drinks we ordered, after already suggesting we’d go to the bar to grab them ourselves. We finished our promptly served glasses of water and left. Really hope it’s better next time.Went again with the family. Back to 5 stars. Service was far superior compared to our last visit. I appreciated the response from management regarding the above post.

Nice spot to hangout and enjoy some beer and good food by the Fraser River. Good selection of drinks and food. You can also takeout and enjoy the food by the river. Go for the burger - good size, juicy and good sauce. Parking can be impossible during warm sunny day.

Better than expected. We booked a table and got seated on the patio which was exactly what we hoped for. Saw a few bad reviews regarding the servers, but we had good service, not amazing service, but definitely acceptable. I had a blackened chicken salad, which I enjoyed, but the chicken was very salty, and I actually love salt. My only complaint is about the parking, or lack of it. We had to park down the street, a few minutes walk, and it took a while to eventually find a spot. Would I go again? Probably not this particular location (Riverside), not very local for us (we live in NE Burnaby).

Reliably consistently good food. Great riverside locale. Attentive service - waitress asked several times how we were doing, asked how food was, refilled empty teapots.Really impressed with the $6 Benny (standard eggs benedict) available before 11am on Saturdays and Sundays. Well made, tasty, and cheap! Someone cares about their customers!

This place used to be one of the can’t miss burger places in Vancouver. I used to work in the area and remember going for lunch ever so often as one of our go to places. The pros here are the happy hour menu is very generous and has a great selection. The chorizo burger was one of the first I ever had so I’m glad it’s still there. The not so good is that their fries are just not good anymore. The batch we had were dry (and not even that crispy) and seemed like they were double cooked. Not sure if we came at a bad time, but we ate faster than it took for us to get the bill (after we asked for it). The water, if you choose just regular tap water, has a bit of a weird taste to it. I know we are spoiled by some of the best tasting tap water in Vancouver, but this has an after taste to it.Overall, it’s not what it used to be, but you can still get a decent home style burger here and enjoy a view while you’re at it. The location is still pretty busy given it’s the new prime hot spot for south Vancouver. But it’s usually the patio that gets filled first.

Have returned to Romer’s happy hour several times on sunny days to enjoy a beer and fish tacos. Great staff. 5 stars because the host Ethan found us the perfect table! Lovely view of the river and boats. Food was very good. During covid, we had takeout - and enjoyed it at a picnic table on the riverside lawn with our dog. Potato fries were better than the yam fries. Nice setting on a sunny day with good walking paths along the shore of the Fraser.
