Sutcliffe Homes and Renovations

Sutcliffe Homes completed renovations of our property which included gutting the whole first floor of our new house and rebuilding including a new kitchen and two new bathrooms. The work was completed on time and the staff of Sutcliffe were a delight to work with. We would highly recommend this company for any home projects.All the best,Susan

it's been about 2 and a half years now since the nightmare with Sutcliffe started.We never complained, always paid our invoices on time, and thought we had a good relationship with them.Then, when we keep a modest hold-back (compared to overall cost of job) because of the attached obvious deficiencies, they send a lawyer letter demanding payment under threat of court action.My advice is to stay away.

We selected Sutcliffe Homes for our 2019 kitchen and living room renovations. Our first visit to the showroom was a great experience. We felt welcomed and valued. We can't thank Sutcliffe Homes enough for all their support and guidance during the renovations. Miranda and Ryan held our hand and explained each phase of the renovations and they were always available to answer our umpteenth question that day. The trades people were respectful of our home. They always cleaned up before leaving for the day and glad to answer any questions we had. The trades people were very tidy in apearance, showed up on time and on schedule. We can't say enough about how much we are enjoying our new spaces. The value and the level of craftsmanship are second to non. We would also like to mention that after the renovations were finished, we were not forgotten. Sutcliffe Homes reached out many times for any questions, concerns we had. We are proud to say Sutcliffe Homes created our great new spaces. Well done.

My livingroom renovation vision is beyond anything I could have imagined. The Sutcliffe team of professionals go over and above. Everyone that has seen my reno can not believe it isn't an original part of my home. I would give Sutcliffe more than 5 stars if I could. We had a complete main-floor renovation in the spring/summer of 2022, with the majority of our main floor getting an overhaul. We had two walls removed, a load bearing beam installed, and a kitchen, powder room, living room & office reno, along with a fireplace demo, with a new FP insert installed, and a FP surround built.From the very start of the process when we received a quote, to the very end when the last touch-up was complete, this company embodied professionalism, high quality work standards, transparent & frequent communication and remarkable customer service. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Here are some of the many reasons why we were so delighted with Sutcliffe:• A quote that spanned about 5 pages with incredible detail and specific budgets outlined for things like flooring, backsplash, fireplace insert, mantle, etc. I knew exactly what I'd be getting and there were no surprises.• a pleasant, professional & respectful work crew who showed up every day on time, and who kept the worksite neat & tidy. The site supervisors were happy to show me progress along the way and check in with me about the finer details and any small questions that came up as they went. The crew had great attitudes and it was easy to tell they enjoyed their jobs. They were also happy to accommodate some of my requests as we went without any pushback or extra charges (i.e. I found the initial protective finish over the fireplace surround too shiny, so they happily & carefully removed the shine with an abrasive material until the finish was exactly how I wanted it)• impeccable project management - the entire project was finished exactly on time, and there was not a single day wasted throughout the 12 week process. Trades were meticulously scheduled so that they would come in at the exact right time to avoid any delays in the project. Materials were ordered well in advance so even in the pandemic supply-chain-shortage-hell that the world has been in over the last 2 years, all the materials arrived on site exactly when needed• we had a dedicated designer, who provided guidance on decisions regarding colour and style for flooring , backsplash, sink, faucet, paint colour, lighting, etc. I could not have made all of these decisions on my own (THANK YOU LYNDSAY!).• they had a team of preferred suppliers. Our designer made individual appointments with each supplier for me (and came with me) to make the otherwise overwhelming process of picking out flooring, a sink, backsplash, etc. so incredibly easy. I realize that it would likely have been cheaper going to all sorts of different places on my own to catch the sales at the big box stores, but the time, stress, hassle and decision anxiety i saved going through the Sutcliffe suppliers, was SOOOO WORTH IT.I highly recommend Sutcliffe Homes & Renovations. They were not the cheapest quote we received, but their price was still within reason. Most importantly, the value, service, and workmanship that we got for the money we paid, was outstanding.

We did a Reno down the street from them and we knew the clients they worked for. They are way overpriced. We could have done the same work for about 80,000 less!

Sutcliffe does fantastic work! We had two cabinetry projects done in our home; both were completed on time, with excellent craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Our rooms were left pristine. Lisa was most helpful and professional.

Our new kitchen is beautiful and the renovation went very smoothly. The contractor Matt was wonderful and managed all aspects of our renovation without a hitch. The results speak for themselves, the kitchen is stunning!
