Willoughby Ranch

Beautiful Ranch owned by wonderful caring people. Our daughter rides here, her coach James Davidson is absolutely amazing,caring knowledgeable and professional. She has enjoyed every second there. My husband and I would highly recommend this ranch.

My family and I went to the Willoughby Ranch for Thanksgiving and had an amazing day! James was amazing! He personalized a western day for us to learn a wide variety of skills and made time for us on his Thanksgiving Day! I will definitely be returning! The horses and staff were great! What an amazing place! It's definitely an undiscovered gem! Love, love, love this place!

We randomly drove into this ranch with my kids and wife. James really warmly welcomed us, showing us around and letting us watch the training.How so kind and warm! We will definitely be back.

What an incredibly fun experience. The staff and horses are so friendly. We learned to lasso, ride, play rodeo games and went for a beautiful trail ride. Money well spent and lifelong memories made!

Beautiful ranch and animals. Lovely owners and staff, who really care about their animals. We went horseback riding for the first time, and had an amazing experience. It's great for children too. Definitely recommend!!

Beyond genuine people. As a first time rider I was extremely impressed and comfortable at how quickly I was able to learn with the help of the staff. I highly recommend this place for beginners and experienced riders as there always is an option for all.

So I contemplated about leaving this review, but I thought why hasn't anyone else been honest about a few things going on, and wish I could have been made aware of these issues beforehand.First I will say this ranch is the cleanest barn/ranch I've ever stepped into .. ever, they have a beautiful set up for riders, and horses, well kept property, theres a port a potty available , very friendly owners and the instructer James is very nice.. however here's my issues in the only 3-4 months of taking my child there for lessons1. James is tardy every single lesson, and makes you wait ( not just me I've noticed everyone on make up days as well ) almost an hour or longer from your scheduled start time while he deals with other business with the ranch or personal. Then when he does start the lesson he's not too engaged with his students ( more concerned about upcoming events, or ranch set ups )2. My child really never learned anything in the 3-4 months of taking her for lessons other than how to pick horse's feet and groom them , as her previous riding skills she learned from another ranch was the only thing taught from western lessons. He took her on trail rides and 1x set up an obstacle course - all nice for a break at first , but I was paying more than previous ranches but getting recreational trail rides that would have been cheaper to do for fun .3. He cancels lessons, either last minute frequently, changes the your time slot regularly , or waits for you to show up and says oops I forgot

We had an incredible experience with James and his team at Willoughby Ranch. They put together an amazing team building experience with our entire staff (45) which was educational and a ton of fun! I highly recommend them for your next corporate event.

We went to Willoughby Ranch with a group of English riding ladies looking a new experience. Together with his well-trained horses, James Davidson coached us through our inexperience and created a welcoming environment of cattle sorting. It was a very fun night that has left us with a need for more, we will be back!
