If you are looking for a new and exotic food experience this is a great place to go. It is a family business with the parents and daughter obviously from Xinjiang, although the daughter is fluent in English. They are very friendly and down to earth. My family and I have been there twice for dinner and have tried most of the dishes on the menu and they have all been very different and delightful.

It’s a very cute and cozy restaurant. It’s my first time trying Uyghur cuisine so I’m not quite sure about the “authentic taste” but I will share my general opinion about the food.Pros: There is free parking in the back of the restaurant. It’s a family own restaurant so you can see that they are trying, even thought it felt that they are under staffed. They have a small menu but I think with enough options to give you an idea of what their cuisine is about. My favourite dish was the shredded three mix salad, fair price and very good taste. The lamb was cooked properly.Cons: The lamb skewers and kabab needed a little of salt (obviously personal perception). The kabab had more onions then actually meat. And the sliced chicken is not actually sliced is shredded, had a great tasted but the chicken was a little chewy probably for overcooking it.We ordered the cucumber salad as well and to be honest nothing very special.Ps: They told us that their specialty is the Leghmen (homemade hand pulled Noodles) we didn’t have the chance to try it this time but we will probably go back to give it another chance!

The restaurant only has one waitress and she is also the front desk, so it is kind of labor shortage. Sometimes she may go to the kitchen so you have no one to serve you.The food is in good quality meat but average cooking. I told them no MSG and not sure if because of that the food does not have much taste.

First time here and the food was amazing. Hand pulled noodles with beef and a tomato based sauce. Super flavorful and you could just have the broth on its own it’s so good. The honey cake was a great desert, subtle sweetness and without being too sweet.

Been to multiple Uyghur restaurants across canada. This one was not the best one we’ve been to but it was still good, here’s why:Lamb skewers: taste was absolutely incredible however it was too small and there were not enough pieces. It was 3 skewers for $12 which was a bit overpriced compared to other locationsDiced leghmen: taste was incredible, definitely recommend.Everything else was alright, I’d appreciate if there more portions of meat and potatoes but otherwise it was not bad.Needless to say if you want Uyghur you can still go here. Love the service, such great people just hopefully some things can change about the portions

The food was really fresh, and super flavorful. We tried the Samosa, cucumber salad, beef leghman, lamb skewers, and honey cake. The honey cake wasn't too sweet and was a lovely end to the meal. The ambiance is simple and intimate and service was so friendly!

I happened to stumble upon this place when I visited Paragon Tea Room (very good teas, if you haven't been). The name is interesting, and I've always been fond of northern Chinese cuisine. We went in for an early dinner at 4 pm. We ordered homemade samosa, lamb skewers, big plate chicken, and hand-pulled beef noodles. When the samosa came, it was hard and barely warm. I asked the server why was it not hot, and she said that since they just opened and it was in the oven for a while. This doesn't make any sense. She offered to have it warmed up, but honestly, it will make no difference. I'm the type of person who once I bit into my food, and if it doesn't taste good, I wouldn't force myself to eat the rest. The other three dishes were just as terrible. Lamb skewers tasted NOTHING like what I usually had at other Chinese restaurants. The beef was tough and the noodles were funny looking. The potatoes in the big plate chicken were too cooked and the flavour was off. I'm so disappointed in this restaurant. We ordered their popular honey cake (call a day in advance to preorder this). We lucked out today because I forgot to preorder it. We decided to take this home because, towards the end of the meal, we smelled some sort of gas. We were uncomfortable sitting there. We had the honey cake at home and it was decent.I cannot believe this place had so many good reviews. I gave this two stars solely for the good service. I DO NOT recommend coming here. If you want real northern Chinese cuisines, please go to Richmond where it's authentic and the food is hot.

We dined in on a weekend for dinner. It's nice cozy place. They welcomed us with complementary black tea. It was so needed for us after a long walk in the cold evening.Ordered the following1. Lamb Dumpling- over priced for bite sized momos. Not that special2. Soba noodles with lamb kebab- noodles was cold with hot meat on top and cucumbers on the side. The server explained this item was eaten like that and enjoyed more on hot summer days. However, it was a cold day and we were tired. So requested to warm up the noodles since we were craving some hot food.3. Stir fried beef leghman- tasted good. Ordered it reading other reviews. Next time would order the diced leghman, that way it would be easier to eat it.Place is clean. Food served nicely. Servers explained us the menu with patience and help us place the order. Personal opinion- expected more variation in taste reading the fellow reviewers reviews. Overall, ok.
