Northland Lodge

We are just wrapping up our stay here but really found this place to be quite the gem in Waterton! Coffee and fresh muffins in the morning, clean rooms and great location made this place what it is! I would reccomend. Everyone is very friendly here and we have a great view in the morning! (See pic)

The manager Jeanie was so friendly … she helped us out a lot …. The stay was great … the beds were super comfy , the location is brilliant … Waterton is so beautiful… I had no idea … she gave us really good rates and a lot of complimentary stuff… we had a death in our family one night and we were loud on the phone in and out of the rooms …. But we apologized and she was very cooperative about the noise pollution and disturbance we caused … great lodge … highly recommend…

Location! Location! Location! Waterton is a beautiful getaway in the southern Canadian Rockies and this lodge is a 5 minute walk from downtown. Great hiking paths are just out the back door. Cozy is the perfect word to describe this nearly 100 year old Lodge that has been run by 4 generations in the same family. The proprietor does a terrific job and is always available with travel guidance for the area. And yes - the muffins are very good! If she has any huckleberry pie, get a slice. If only once slice don’t tell your travel companion.

When we came across Northland lodge and agreed to stay for the long weekend, at first thought we wondered how it would be as usually we would book for a motel/hotel. Upon arrival, we met the most amazing people (Taylor, Bridget, and Jeanne) that had the greatest personality and wanted you to make yourself at home and be comfortable. The whole layout of the lodge takes you back in the day with how cozy it is. The rooms were really clean and well maintained. The location of Northland Lodge is the heart of Waterton. It has been a great experience and time well spent here. Everyday you would meet new neighbors that shared the lodge and everyone got along with each other having that feeling as if we were all related to each other. I always leave my window open when sleeping as I like the cool breeze to enter the room and especially at this location, the mountain breeze is different until you wake up in the morning you have this very nice smell sense of fresh muffins being made in the morning with the freshest coffee, Really Delicious! Thank you for having and welcoming us into your home as we will definitely be back.

The trip Waterton was very last minute. In September, we were lucky to find this place and really lucked out that they a room available. It was so cozy and warm inside especially seeing it was super windy and rainy. They have a fire place and provide morning coffee, tea, hot chocolate etc along with home made muffins. Definitely need to plan better next but a definite recommend.

This was our first visit to Northland Lodge, but we made reservations for the fall and next spring. A small, family run business, the staff (Jeannie) is very welcoming and she knows the area and its history. Her muffins, right out of the oven each morning, were delicious. Our room was small but a good value for the price, clean and comfortable. The lodge is a pleasant 10 minute walk from the downtown" area. Although we live closer to Banff

Great hostess at historic lodge on edge of Waterton Park town - very convenient to restaurants in town but enough out of town to be very quiet. Room was very small but very charming. Great views from the deck. One of the other guests we met had been coming for 25 years. Not one of the big national park lodges" - had about 8 rooms so was very cozy. Lovely common living room to sit and relax in."

First time in waterton. We stayed in northland lodge for 3 days during canada day. Jeannie is so accomodating. The room is small but its cozy. Worth the price. Her muffins every morning is the best. I dont eat muffins but cant say no to her muffins. Its really gooood.. i would definitely recommend this lodge.

Jeanne is one of the nicest people I have ever met. She was extremely helpful and accommodating for my friends and I after we had a failed backcountry camping trip. She gave us everything from food to local advice to the history of the town. I couldn't recommend staying here more, and I will for come back the next time I'm in Waterton.

I can't say enough nice things about Stacy, who runs the lodge. She came through for us during high season and with her family visiting! What an amazing experience we had visiting the beauty of Waterton! The lodge is in a great location and nice and quiet in the evenings. We saw lots of deer, a chipmunk, and young prairie dogs roaming nearby. Fresh hot coffee and yummy muffins were had each morning. We will definitely be back! Thank you Stacy!
