Castaway's Water Sports Rentals

Super disappointed with the pontoon boat that we rented as well as the service we recieved. First of all, we had to pay a 2500 damage deposit upon arrival which was not mentioned in the confirmation email so we were not prepared to pay it. After an hour my friends and I got it figured out. Once on the boat we ran into a number of problems. The engine did not work properly and kept slipping out of gears which meant we had to constantly stop and struggle to start it back up. This made it especially difficult to enjoy tubing. When we called castaways to let them know, they said they were already aware of it. We also noticed that there was only one paddle on board so if we were stuck we would not have been able to row any where. There was also no emergency horn which is also a safety hazard. Lastly when we returned to the dock we complained to the front desk about their unsafe boat, the girl told us we were making her uncomfortable and threatened to call the cops. This made us all very mad because we were put into a unsafe situation and then threatened after complaining. A employee of the hotel pulled my friend aside and told him that this happens a lot with castaways. Every year I rent a boat for my birthday and my friends and I will never return to castaways. This put a huge damper on the rest of the night. Terrible service.

Called and booked in 2 weeks in advance for a 2 hours boat rental+driver for August 4th at 5 PM. Had a long conversation over the phone just to make sure my friends and I will get what we wanted(tubing+banana boat for 6 ppl). Paid a $50 deposit. Came on the day and they just simply told me they don’t have any driver and they couldn’t do any of those. They did not realize they have a booking. . Wasted 45 mins of our time trying to get what our group wanted and they eventually called a driver replacement for only 15 minutes. Ended up riding for 15 mins and on top of that, no apology was receivedPlease get your business somewhere. Dont make the same mistake as I did

We had a booking on a sunny hot day for parasailing to celebrate my dad’s birthday and it got canceled because they said it was “too windy” and it was not, they booked us for 11am the next day but It was cloudy and cold, they gave us another appointment at 1pm when at that time it was sunny we got there and the boat had left without us because we were 3 minutes late. We had to deal with an employee with terrible customer service and no respect towards the fact that we came from Vancouver and booked a hotel just to do this. Unbelievably how people can do this I ABSOLUTELY do not recommend this place and I don’t understand how things like this still happen.

We rented a speed boat and tube for our family in August. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The boat was awesome and everything worked great with the exception of a couple of speakers. I would recommend renting from these guys.

Had an amazing experience flying high with my partner in full costume as MIMES! They were very accommodating with our last minute request to help promote a local event. Liam and Mike were great stewards and ensured maximum fun and safety. Highly recommend. The most beautiful view in town is catered through these folks:)

Big thanks to Castaways boat and jet ski rental!!3 hours on the boat with my partner and our dog flew right by. Staff were professional and knowledgeable. Equipment was in top shape. Couldn't ask for a better time. We'll be sure to come back again soon. Thanks for the memories!

Called 2 weeks ago to make a reservation for parasailing for our anniversary they said all good. Then called the day before to confirm we were good and we were good. Got there today for them to tell me they had overbooked us even though I booked 2 weeks in advance. When I tried to get my money back the girl only wanted to give my 150$ back instead of the 186 I had paid the following 2 weeks. Very unprofessional and flaky I would not recommend dealing with this company

We’ve taken our grandsons parasailing with Castaways on four different occasions.Always treated the boys/us grandparents so well!The staff & crew are so friendly & helpful!I would highly recommend Castaways if you’re looking for a fun, adventurous experience!

Had an amazing time parasailing with my Son. Liam and Felix were very helpful. I have a fear of heights and they made the whole experience very comfortable and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend parasailing to anyone of any age. Families should take advantage of this affordable and fun experience. It was a memorable day.Thank you Castaways!
