Gatineau City Police Department Headquarters

Honestly the worst. I've never been stopped by the Gatineau police but I have had to call them for some situations on others and they are extremely unprofessional. I had an instance where my mother was being stalked, to the point of stalking her in person at the same Tim Hortons that she goes to. The Gatineau police told us to deal with it and it was our problem since he did not threaten her life. We asked them if they could at least give him a courtesy call to ask to stop since he was calling at least 50 times a day and they told us to call Videotron and it wasn't their problem.Guess someone has to be dead before they do anything.

This morning at 4:46am (6.23.2019), I had called the station about a public disturbance and there was a police vehicle within 10 minutes and they (police officiers) apprehended the person in a calm manner, and waited for the ambulance to take the person away.I just moved to a nice neighborhood with a lot of families that I've come to know and felt the need to call the police station.Thank you for keeping our community safe.

We are a large enough city to be able to afford online portal to request criminal record checks. I paid $75 and have to wait two weeks minimum for a check. It's ridiculous!!!

Handcuffs are comfortable, lots of leg room in back seat. Officers are friendly, I would definitely get arrested again.

If you are from Ontario and you have tinted windows stay away from Gatineau they don't want your business and it's best to stay home to shop. Not once have I ever been pulled over for tinted in my home province of Ontario. From what I understand it's tolerated and police have better things to do. In the past month and a half I have been pulled over twice by the SAME officer. Both times I was coming back from getting a haircut. My hairdresser recently moved from Rideau to promenades.I wonder how Quebec residents would feel if they started getting tickets for studded snow tires. It's permitted in Quebec but NOT in Ontario. Even better having no plates on the front of your car is illegal in Ontario. I know I'm reaching but it's common sense to not harass residents of another province for such a minor issue especially one that is tolerated elsewhere.

I was happy to live on the Gatineau side of the river until I got 3 tickets in 3 years in Hull! I haven't had a ticket in Ontario in 10 years! Ottawa is stacked with all levels of police, and yet, no tickets in Ottawa during the 3 years working there! This is because Gatineau (and all of quebec's) cop quota" is CRIMINALIZING. But it was to my surprise after learning the hard way that this issue has gained headline news in QC over the years

They were fooling around in my fenced in and LOCKED back yard over a year ago at 1:30 in the morning no warrant shinning their lights in my wife and I duplex windows looking in our garbage and sheds .....they said they were looking for my tenant upstairs who wasn't home so they decided to break the law and keep searching even after I said she wasn't home...all on camera and the video is with my lawyer... they even pulled me over for nothing in that morning just to try and search my car...very corrupt... but yet too stupid to see that I have surveillance cameras filming them breaking the law jumping my fence....

At least some of these wage earners, who monitor and bully the hull sector, are disgusting, and therefore diminish the public respect they believe their tiny little force" deserves.This location is head and shoulders above the one in hull."

If I could give 0 stars I would. Beyond appalling at the service I have received. I have been to this location 7 times in the past month to collect a vulnerable sector screening.The first time returning to the station, the sector check was done incorrectly, and not in the language indicated on the forms. The next time I came to collect the papers, they were not available. The next time I came, the papers were ready, but prepared in French, when English was the language specified, and the vulnerable screening was not done. Paid 75$ to waste my time.I went a 6th time yesterday (aug 9th) evening to leave without my documents because they were unavailable although I had received a telephone call from the man who prepares them that they were ready for pick up on Thursday aug 5th.Made a telephone call this morning to find out that the VSS was filed under first name and not last name. Come on and use some common sense people. This is completely unacceptable.
