Food is great but wish portions were just as big as the ones in New York.

The food is ridiculously good!! My absolute new favourite place! Had the chicken and beef platter and loved every bite. Went crazy on the white sauce and just made me drool. The staff is so courteous too! Absolutely love this place

The halal guys is finally open in Vancouver! What started as a food truck in New York now has a storefront in Vancouver with plenty of seating.You start off by picking small platter ($15.99), large platter ($17.99) or sandwich ($13.99). On the pricier side. You then choose a protein - beef gyro, chicken, falafel or combo of 2. All platters come with rice, lettuce, tomato and pita. Extra toppings have an extra cost such as jalapeños, olives, hummus and baba ghanoush. You then get to pick white sauce, hot sauce and or bbq sauce. I got the classic white sauce. Overall ok meal and reminiscent of the one in New York! But NYC is much better of course :)

Warm Welcome, Disappointing FoodI was excited to try Halal Guys, but unfortunately, the beef was dry and lacked tenderness. The rice was undercooked, and the pricing felt high with additional charges for extras. While the staff was friendly, I'd recommend exploring other local food trucks for a better halal food experience.

So happy they have finally opened in a city where I live! The restaurant was bright, welcoming and very clean. The staff were excellent and deserves all the praise - they were so nice and helpful. I love how this location has the sauces available for self serve because so that I don’t have to feel embarrassed asking for more sauce. The staff even came by our table asking if we knew that we could get more sauce from the bottles in the fridge. The only downside was that the portion sizes are a bit smaller than what I’ve gotten from their other stores around the world. Overall a very nice experience and I’ll be back!

Have your expectations straight —>- The food is decent (if not bad). Much unlike the original Halal Guys in New York IMHO.- The portions are small, for a hearty price tag. Was literally given 3 slices of Jalapeño (charged extra) for a regular size bowl. Ensure you’re given the right amount per the dish and ask accordingly.- the customer service is Great. Staff was very friendly, prompt, efficient and inviting. The saving grace.

This is not 18 dollar food. Chicken taste like it’s boiled in water. Used to have it in NY all the time but never thought it taste so bad here.
