DBK is a wonderful salon. Beautifully renovated and the staff is always welcoming, professional and helpful! I am always happy with my hair cut and style. Nita is absolutely amazing and always does a great job. She made my daughter feel at ease and comfortable for her first hair cut (not to mention the beautiful job she did with the cut and style.) Thank you, as always!

Was looking for a colourist to do a very bright pinkish red. Had tried other places and always disappointed with the color and fading. Found DBK online and decided to try them after the positive reviews. Elisia was an absolute magician. She was spot on with my color and what a beautiful personality and went above and beyond. She is definitely an asset to the business. Pricing was extremely reasonable for the service. I think I found my forever salon ❤️

This salon is my go to! I have been coming here for 10+ years. My blonde colour is always perfect and I have strong red undertones so it takes some work and they always take time time to make it perfect.Thanks DBK.

This review would have been different if I reacted emotionally first before thinking. While my first visit was initially upsetting, the dedication and personal attention from the Manager and the Owner made all the difference. I 'm very thankful for their commitment to customer satisfaction.During my first appointment, I had requested to lighten my hair from red (box dye) to golden brown. The stylist was at a junior level, so it's all straightforward bleach and color process that didn't quite meet my expectations. In fairness, she did say that we wouldn't get to the desired color with just one visit. But I didn't expect to come out with darker, uneven/patchy hair than when I came in. I was very upset at the color more than anything else, aside from the wounds I got and the price I paid.Upon privately expressing my concerns, both the Manager (Daniel? sorry I forgot the name) and Owner (Frank) stepped in on rectifying the situation. They genuinely cared about my satisfaction and offered me the opportunity to return the following day to fix the issue. Their proactive approach and eagerness to provide a solution gave me hope that my hair could still be salvaged.Frank went out of his way to visit the salon on his day off. His expertise and passion for his craft were evident from the way he talked and looked at my hair. With meticulous care and an artistic touch, he personally did the color correction process. He was very kind and listened attentively to my concerns and preferences, ensuring that he understood exactly what I desired. With his expertise and genuine care, he managed to give me the look I wanted in the first place.I cannot emphasize enough how grateful I am to the entire team at DBK Salon for turning my disappointment into absolute satisfaction. Their professionalism, accountability, and determination to provide exceptional service are truly commendable.Let this serve as a reminder if anyone had any disappointing service: reach out to them first before complaining in social media. When I first booked, they asked me to take a picture of how long my hair was, and what style I would like for the event I was going to. They said I would receive a text and respond with those two pictures. I called them back twice because I never received any text and still until the confirmation appointment the day before I didn’t receive any sort of text.Then, in terms of the actual appointment, location is beautiful and has ample parking. I told my stylist that my hair doesn’t hold cut curl well, and quite honestly throughout the appointment I don’t feel like unless I asked her to do something differently, she either didn’t know, or didn’t want to do anything differently to try to make it hold at all.Also quite honestly, the way she spoke to me a couple of times were incredibly condescending. I typically wash my hair every 5-7 days and with it being day 4, I didn’t want to do a full wash as I knew the conditioner and products would make holding curl even more difficult and I told her that, and she essentially told me that I don’t know how to wash my own hair because one spot towards the bottom was still greasy, to which I responded to her by trying to laugh it off and saying I appreciate it but by this age, I think I know how to wash my own hair and I explained to you why I did it this way, to try to help towards styling.The style was fine at the end but as I expected, given no real effort was put in to try to make it hold curl, it all went flat well before the event. That may be this stylist not knowing how to work with hair that doesn’t hold curl, or my hair, but many other stylists I’ve been to have been able to alter their method when I tell them that and have had no problems.The part that bothered me more was how little was done to secure the style in place, so the bobby pins were sliding down through the appointment and I had to keep saying “looks like I just lost some of the volume when you did that, can you adjust the pins please?” and asked for more bobby pins once this happened a few times.The point of getting my hair done rather than doing it myself is that someone professional seeing the back of my head should be able to work with these factors but it didn’t feel like the stylist knew how to adjust to different types of hair and I felt like I should have just done it myself based on how I looked 30 minutes after the appointment.

I have been getting my hair done from Elisa for over 5+ years. She is an amazing stylist and ALWAYS has me feeling like a new woman everytime I leave. She is also my personal therapist! Elisa is amazing! I had gotten an unfortunate haircut/colour from another establishment before I started going to her and she spent the time fixing every detail of my hair until it was perfect. She’s so skilled and so sweet. Also, really patient. She’s been through EVERY colour with my hair and I’ve loved each one. When she told me she started at DBK I was excited to check it out! The salon is beautiful. My first visit to this location was wonderful. Great vibe and friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend checking it out and asking for Elisa! You will not be disappointed!!!

I went here because I tried bleaching my hair myself and I over processed it so it was very damaged so after 2 days with the damaged hair I went to get some advice on what to do and the owner said he can fix it and said even though it was his day off he would stay to fix my hair and that it would be a really complicated process of dying my roots a different shade than my length so to match the colour and so because of this I would have to pay what I later realized was double and a half to their usual price for colour which is a bit perplexing to me now. However the color looks really good and I was very desperate so am grateful for the good job on the hair colour but did I really have to pay 250.00 for a colour when my hair is only a couple of inches long and the regular full colour price is 106 or something like that? I dunno. Ultimately I feel that considering I was very generous to provide them amazing before and after shots and purchased all of the recommended products etc I should not have been charged double and a half for what did not seem any more complex of a colour job than I have ever had before. Don't you usually have to do two shades anyway when the roots are coming in regardless of damaged hair? Should I have been told to wait until my hair had healed before adding more colour? Was I taken advantage of in my desperation and then over charged as well?...yes I think so. I won't be returning here after much thought because ultimately I don't feel that the well being of my hair was ever considered and the price scheme I was quoted is drastically inconsistent with there pricing list and come on guys so close to mothers day no discount no offer even on all of the products that I purchased. Come on guys really? The color took about 40 minutes to do with no cut or style just it was over processed and needed colour but really I am discovering that I should have been told to wait a while and heal the hair before adding yet more chemical further damaging my hair. I totally got screwed with these guys after all I am thinking, truly. I left the salon very happy with the results but went home and looked at my receipt and compared it to the price list on the website and I am in disbelief actually to realize what happened here. They were very very friendly and nice though...

I had my hair cut and styled with Nita. She did an excellent job. I'm so happy with my hair. It is exactly the same as what I showed her.I definitely recommend this salon and haircut with Nita.
