This was rather an OK overall experience. The food was good for the price but not exceptional. The cooking took a bit too long and we had to order more drinks during waiting. If I was on a hurry I would have left without food. Considering that the place was half empty I removed a star for that. The service was pleasant but not much helpful for speeding up food preparation. The cuisine selection is mostly Italian-style (i.e. lots of pasta) but I have found a chicken pot pie that was well done. Coffee refill was not offered even with the wait. Considering the place is in Parry Sound it compares not bad with the popular Bay street Café (excluding the view, of course).

We have come here many times, and my biggest critique is consistency. Sometimes it's been fantastic, other times very disappointing and a completely different taste for the exact same menu items (perhaps differences with who is the chef?). I think what I see is that the business is trying to offer too much at once (Italian, Casual, Fine Dining, Asian, Catering...) instead of focusing on doing less but doing it well and consistently. I hope that they can figure it out because they are a good addition to the community and there is a lot of promise there. Here is a picture of the Italian Banana Split we got last time, and it was delicious and beautifully presented (our main course was another story, but hopefully better next time).

Tried brunch buffet they’ve started. It was ok. Breakfast items were good but no lunch items added until nearly noon. Waited with anticipation for lunch additions but they were hit and miss. Alfredo was good, chicken balls and egg rolls were also good as beef rib. The fried rice was mush and not good at all.It’s nice to see a buffet open again, lots of room to improve and sure they’ll figure it out. Was very busy in bursts and wait staff were good and friendly even if one greeted us with good evening.

I saw this restaurant had a high rating, so I convinced my friends to visit. We came in with a group of 6, and waited almost an hour for the food to come up. The server didn’t visit once during the waiting. I was so looking forward to the veel, but it was really hard to chew, and was a sweet taste, i personally didn’t like it. I also tried my friends’ schnitzels and pizzas, these were pretty good.

This place is delicious, highly recommend! Came here with five of us and everything we tried was spot-on (and this is coming from an Italian person in our group).The escargots came in a delicious sauce, the beet salad was excellent, the scallops were tasty.The group consensus was our favourite main dishes were the tagliatelle ragout and seafood pesto. And for desserts we loved the panna cotta and pear crostata the best (but the tiramisu and Italian banana split were very tasty as well).All the staff were very friendly and it was great talking with the owner, Jane.Definitely check this place out if you're in the area!

Amazing sit down fine dining. There is two sides to the restaurant, one side is more casual and would be great for a family night out where the other is fancier and perfect for date night Great experience. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Covid protocols were followed to a tee. We went for our honeymoon dinner and everyone was so excited for us. Portions were huge. You definitely get what you are paying for. We will definitely return the next time we are in town.

Overall we had an okay experience. They were extremely busy and we had some mistakes with our food. I had chicken Parm and the spaghetti was missing most of the noodles and was just sauce. Also, my wife really struggled to enjoy her meal. That being said, some of it was good and the waitresses tried to correct the issues we had. Also, their drinks were great, the chicken with the parm was good, the veggies with my wife's beef was good. We waited about an hour for our food as well, so it was disheartening for it to have the issues it did.I would chalk this up to an overly busy day for them and not necessarily what would happen normally.I would like to thank them for the good service and trying to make things right.

They catered our wedding in September 2022 at a cottage in Magnetawan. The food was very good and they provided vegan options for our guests. Unfortunately, they completely messed up the timing and arrived an hour later than was contracted, without any compensation. They were apologetic and got to work right away.

Disappointed dinner. Waited for 1 hour for the food to come. The salad was half croutons. The pasta undercooked and sausage in the pasta was just unable to eat. The other Alfredo dish was 50%sauce. As you can see in the photo. Shepherds pie looks undercooked and had bits of pink meat in it; used frozen vegetables tri-mix and (told me they did not have lasagna and changed to shepherds pie waiting 30mins in.)The fish and chips had coleslaw that looks pinkish on the side. Looks dark and taste like onion. Just a place to avoid if you want to have a pleasant dinner. Not a 4.4 star review restaurant.

Excellent meals, huge menu (see photos), fantastic, friendly and attentive service, couldn't be beat, my meal of Jaeger Schnitzel was very savoury and tasty. Meal was served promptly. Bottomless Decaf Coffee was excellent. My dinner was inexpensive at $22 including non alcoholic drink, coffees and meal. My only regrets were that my meal was not hot, and elevator music was annoying. Nevertheless I was suitably impressed and I will be back, with friends. I was impressed with the fine dining menu too. Well done Di Salvo's.
