Newcastle Golf and Country Club

Nice layout and course features but its a dusty track and expensive for what it is at $70+ (with cart). I'd be here much more if it was cheaper

Had a great time playing at Newcastle with my friends! The staff is so friendly and makes you feel at home! The conditions are good even though I know there has been no rain in sight. The course layout is gorgeous with lots of old trees dividing holes making it feel very private! Great time for a great low price, will be making another tee time tonight!

Updating this review.Golfed on Sunday at 10:30. And yes the course has been upgraded a lot. But the price at $125 for 9 for 2 with cart is v high!!!Also inasmuch as we go for the golf. The flower beds around the clubhouse are truly awful - neglected so much.Also the outdoor toilets are out of order. The sign on the door was so faded I wasn't sure. So I went in and it was disgusting!!!! I told the boys in the clubhouse to do a new sign. To tell people to use indoor toilets. Nothing done when I got back after our round.We will not be going there in the near future!!!Greetings all. My partner and I played Newcastle Golf Course today. It’s under new management.I must say that it is in far better shape than it has been over the last couple of years!The fairways are finally very green and well maintained. The greens are pristine! What a nice experience!We’ll be back. Try it out. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Had a group of 4 booked. One player with a bad back, can’t walk. Course decided to not issue carts for the day with no heads up. Hottest day of the year, golfer with bad back couldn’t play because of the walk and hills. Very disappointed there was no phone call or heads up before making the drive to the course.

Much improved course conditions over what it was 2 years ago. Well worth the money

Great course!! The only reason it gets 4 stars is because we played the front 9 without seeing a beverage cart then saw her on 11 and that was it

The course has come a long way in a year. It is in much, much better condition. Last year I would not recommend this course. This year it is worth playing. It's not perfect but is in good shape. Fairways have all filled in. Good job to the grounds keeper.and management

Played in a golf tournament there yesterday. The staff could not have made us feel any less welcome and clearly did not appreciate our business. Tees were us bad shape, fairway grass was so long. Greens meh. Go elsewhere. Lots of better options for golf in Durham/Clarington.

Loved this course! Will definitely be returning - such a great atmosphere and staff was super friendly.

I give it a 3 star. The course is much much better then 3 years ago ( last time I played it). The fairways are a bit to long and the greens The same. If they cut both alittle bit shorter the course would be amazing.
