Escape to the Country Dog & Cat Boarding Kennels

We have used Escape to the country a few times now and have always found Emma and her team to be helpful and kind. We enjoy seeing the daily updates with photos on Facebook. Having Opal and Seven safely in the cattery whilst we are away is worth the money.

Open, safe, fun and playful is how I would describe the experience at Escape the country. Our dog gets super excited hearing that he's going to visit for a few days. The daily Facebook photo updates is a nice touch you seeing how much fun your four legged kiddo is having!

Allie and Jinx had a great first experience at being boarded overnight. Allie is 4 and Jinx just a year. They were so happy with their stay. We feel relieved they were in such good hands. We appreciate the strict policies and procedures as they ensure pet safety and pet owner confidence. I bet the furries are already looking forward to their next stay.

I had my dog stay at Escape to the Country Dog & Cat Boarding for a 7-day stay and I was very happy with the service. I appreciated the Facebook postings with pictures of the dogs at play so I could check to see how he was doing while I was away. Thanks for taking such good care of my boy.

Emma and her team took care of my cat, Watson, like he was one of their own. As he was a cat who had never been away from home his entire life, not to mention that he is diabetic and insulin-dependent, I was hesitant at first to board him anywhere. After meeting Emma and her team , I felt comfortable leaving him at Escape to the Country Cattery. Emma kept in touch when necessary and I was able to enjoy my first trip away from home in six years because of their great care and attention to my boy. I will definitely have them watch Watson again.

We have been taking our dog to Escape to the Country for years now. We love Emma and staff. It is a wonderful kennel- our dog loves it!Highly recommend!

We have been using Escape to the Country for a few years now, for both our dog and our cat. We had previously been using a different kennel for our cat where they were housed in cubby style boxes that were small and cramped. I wanted something different and came across Escape to the Country. The cat condos are amazing. The are spacious, tall with cat towers, shelves, etc for the cats to hang out on. They are open allowing them to see other cats and Emma and the gang. They are also let out into the main area to explore (one cat a time obviously) and can even look out the window and say hi to other cats.The dog kennels are great too. They have a huge outdoor play area as well with toys, obstacles etc to keep them entertained and wear them out. Lots of fun to be had!I love the daily updates on their Facebook page where you can catch a glimpse of your pet and all the other pets staying there.My cat was boarded there over the holidays in December/January and what Emma did for my cat and how she loved on him, I will be forever grateful! My cat wasn't feeling well and Emma knew it. She got in contact with me and we chatted throughout over the next couple of hours and it was decided he needed to see a 24 hr Emma knows her vets and was able to tell me roughly the cost difference between a few places (local, way pricier, one in Calgary, a good drive for her, was drastically different). On New Years Eve, Emma drove Twix to this vet in Calgary, stayed with him for hours while keeping me constantly updated. She spent her New Years Eve with my cat! It turned out he needed surgery and a 3 night stay. She left him there and returned three days later to pick him up and gave him round the clock meds, waking up in the middle of the night to do so, got him to eat trying out different combos of food etc. She treated him just as I would have. I am so grateful for her attentiveness to know something was wrong and the care and compassion she showed Twix over this time. I did not have to worry as he was in great hands! It is evident Emma and the gang really do love the animals that are in their care. I would recommend her to everyone I talk to. A great home away from home for your fur babies.

Emma, Ann and the whole crew are wonderful and were so amazing with our doggie Lua. We had initially booked her in for 5 weeks, however due to a family emergency we had to extend her stay and they were so accommodating! It was a long stay and she got anxious at times, but the team came up with ways to make her feel comfortable and more relaxed - btw she loved her off property Adventure walks!! Thanks again for everything, Escape to the Country team!

We have boarded our dogs here for close to 9 years. Have never had any issues and am very happy with the service we receive. Our pup comes back socialized .. which he needs as he’s only 9 mths old…and very tired. We have also used the pickup and delivery service as we live in south Calgary …. Very convenient! We ❤️Emma!

My young dog came home happy and tired. Emma was very welcoming and shared all the details of the stay. We will be booking again.
