I worked with Sharon in the fall of 2017. As the only son, attempting to manage the situation was taking a big toll on my family and myself, not knowing what road to follow. No one wants to think of their loved one’s vulnerability and the thought of yourself getting old. I was reactive, second guessing my decisions for my mother and wondering if I was doing the right thing because we had never spoken about her wishes? I was not making the best choices because I was not prepared. Do I know all the facts, the funding, the laws? I was overwhelmed while trying to work full time, single parent and run a side business. This was causing stress in my relationships and I was anxious about my mother’s future.From the beginning Sharon listened to my story and my turmoil without interrupting and without prejudice. At the completion of my concerns she then opened her door and discussed with my mother and I what we felt we wanted and the end result we needed. She was very soft spoken, learned and eased me along to the next transition the depth of resources and willingness to share openly those resources. The transparency of information was amazing. It took the burden off of me so we were able to build a plan for ourselves and make the transitions easier. The plan was able to show cost savings, my mom felt safer and empowered in her and my decision making.I would highly recommend Sharon because she has the ability and knowledge to help you understand and take the most effective next steps to help you achieve your short term and long-term goals for the next chapter of life.
