So I'm going to explain the 2 star review for service. Was here with a fairly large group (12 or so). and the service was fairly slow - it sounded like multiple servers may have not shown up for work so the owner was waiting on us - as well as all the other parties in the place.Went for brunch on a sunday. I had an omelette which was served with a side of potatoes. these potatoes were excellent (I think there was some kind of seasoning with some olive oil)One of the people in my party went and got the coffee pot for refills and she bused the table afterwards. The owner took notice of this and didn't charge her for her meal - and knocked 10% off our group's bills!! he apologized a number of times.So even though i knocked off a couple stars for reviews - it seems like it was out of the restauranteurs hands.I had been here once for dinner and there was no issue with service that time and the food was pretty good. I had pizza - which i would recommend trying (they have a big brick pizza oven in the food prep area).will definitely return, and if the next trip is without any issue will probably alter my review a bit.

Hardly anyone there on a Saturday afternoon. World Cup. So they had a menu with only pizza and wings. That’s all. Probably expecting huge crowds. But it was 3/4 empty. And we still waited 40 minutes for wings. Which were…..like roast chicken with hot sauce squirted on top? Do they not have a deep fryer? It was just odd. Older couple working there. Man cooking. Lady serving. “We just can’t find any help” she says. And later we see her getting into her Audi in the parking lot. Hmmm. We wanted to like the place. But it’s just not up to it. Won’t go back. You shouldn’t bother either.

Let me paint a picture for you.A large group of us came to watch the leafs game. We arrived 5 minutes into the first period and we unfortunate enough to see them loose in overtime before our appetizer bread (yes bread) and our baked Brie (which was cold, not baked) arrived.Server was pleasant and apologetic about the speed of service but over two hours after ordering the last item arrived is an exceptionally slow service level. And when we complained that it hadn’t all arrived and to cancel they politely said we’d pay for it anyways.6 tables were still empty so it can’t have been that they were too busy.Looking at the reviews it’s clear the kitchen is the problem here, I’m sure they are working on it and were working at it 6 months ago.Let me finish the picture for you. It’s 3 hours later. We are not full we are not happy.If you just want beer, I think they could deliver for you. Go for it.If you want food, I’d recommend perhaps ordering in, or maybe raise the cow, take it to the butcher, build the bbq, bake the bun, and cook the cow and you’d still likely beat the speed of this kitchen.

Came here for an impromptu lunch. The owner Jonathan is very friendly and greeted us as soon as we came in. Highly recommend the oven baked pizzas. Good vibe if you're into sports as there was a game on. A convenient spot for a meal!

I have been to the Moody Cow several times and every time has been a great experience. Friendly staff, attentive and respectful. The food was amazing, I have tried several and no complaints whatsoever. Jonathan the owner made the time to come over, introduce himself and made sure that me and my guests were happy, which we were. Highly recommended. Starting to become a weekly event.

Really wanted to love this place. Came there a second time because the first time was actually good but that must have been a fluke. Just left the place and they were out of so many items it was awkward… beers, few of the appetizers, some mains etc. After about an hour our server informed us that they were out of mussels (which we ordered as a replacement to the brie they were already out of). She said that the cook asked her to go to the grocery store to get the ingredients; the stock issue is clearly indicative of gross mismanagement of the establishment. The place was near empty - we asked if our other dishes were started yet and they said no so we just asked for the bill because we had to go home and put our kid to bed. In fairness, the server gave us a coupon for 2 free entrees next time because she felt awful but we likely just won’t return. It’s too bad.

Went to moody cow pub tonight may 5 with some friends I do not write reviews and I’m a very lenient and understanding person when it comes to slow service and etc but tonight’s dine in experience bad. Servers were nice and I don’t blame them for what went wrong. We came in at 8 we took a while to order because we were waiting for two members of our party once they arrived we ordered immediately. That’s when we started waiting and waiting and waiting. Servers were not updating us on where the food was or how long it was gonna take. We waited for I would say an hour and a half nearing two hours. We were debating on just leaving and going to another restaurant until we finally got word on our food after an over an hour. The server said it was coming out shortly and apologized. After that memo it took around 15-20 min for our whole table to have received our food. And it was for lack of better words NOT good. My friends burger was raw, A lot of us were hungry so we just ate the food since we waited so long anyways. But it wasn’t worth the price and especially not worth the extremely long wait. My table was rightfully upset, and I was surprised that no one offered any sort of comp for having us wait such a ridiculously long time. None of us are one to ask for a comp or complain, but it was so bad we had to mention it to the server. The owner then came out and his approach towards us was aggressive and condescending. Felt like my friends and I were being lectured and also not being taken seriously, at this point we just wanted to leave. He ended up comping one of my friends meal which was the raw burger, and a small discount on my bill since my other friends had already paid. I hate to be harsh but this has been one of the worst dine in experiences I’ve ever had. My friends and I left extremely dissatisfied and also uncomfortable. Hoping this was a bad night for them because I had high hopes but after tonight we will not be returning.

A group of us went for Brunch, I wasn't up for what was on the brunch menu and opted for the pepperoni pizza, made fresh and baked in wood fired oven, served hot, just great. A pint of Guiness is always a great partner. One of the servers failed to show up so they were short staffed, but management stepped in and picked things up. Good on them. We were made to feel welcome, and I'll be going back.

I had the oven roasted Brussels sprouts and steak sandwich with Caesar salad side. Both dishes were delicious. I appreciate nothing was over salted and everything was fresh. The steak in the steak sandwich was a whole steak and cooked to perfection. It was tender and not chewy at all! Not to mention the owner who kept checking on us to ensure our food was ok. The Brussels sprouts could be a little crispier, but overall a very satisfying “home made” meal. My companions also had their delicious French onion soup that was made from scratch. They ordered their pizzas too that I was told was good, but nothing special. So overall I would recommend ordering their appetizers and mains if it’s your first time visiting.
