Urology Associates

Dr. Rangaswamy did my vasectomy at Grand River Hospital today, and all went well. The consultation at Urology Associates was a very positive experience. Both Dr. Rangaswamy and Nadia at the front desk thoroughly explained everything I had to do pre- and post-surgery and have been a pleasure to interact with. Five stars so far; all that's left is the follow-up in a few months' time.

I was generally happy with my experience. My concerns we’re addressed. They tried to get me in as soon as possible. I had a kidney stone that would bring on severe pain then it would ease up when it moved so I i was not an emergency and understood that. Lots of cancer patients that obviously are a priority. It’s not a fun experience but they did good by me. My only complaint is when they call it would show up as no caller ID so I would miss the call as I don’t pick up calls that have no caller ID.

The staff here is always friendly & they make u feel welcome! Nadia is one of the best! She always keeps me up to date! Hats off to her for a job well done! Happy New Year to u all

Doctor was overall pleasant, but the receptionist is just so rude and puts the clinic in a bad light. She has this habit of cutting me off in the middle of my sentences and then asking me to repeat what I said because she didn't catch it. She also speaks like she wants the conversation to end ASAP. Overall, very vexing experiences with calling in.

It would really help if they would answer their phone. Calling day after day and being on hold forever isn’t ideal. Not to mention inputting a patients information in wrong so the doctor has to send yet another referral.

I am extremely sorry, this is not for the doctor or particular business.This is for Nadia ( receptionist may b)I was there to deliver a package for Russel but she was rude.I was just following my company norms.Like asking her name, she replied rudely and even I asked to spell her name than also she was like she is doing me a huge favour.Please look into that, I’ll remove this comment once I’ll get positive reply.Thank you!!!

Dr. Egardie is possibly one of the best doctors I've had. He's patient and thoroughly explains everything and is willing to answer any questions I have. As for all the comments and other reviews about the office staff: what you have to realize is there are VERY few urology clinics in KW. As a result this office is INCREDIBLY busy. They get a lot of referrals and have a ton to do.Personally I have always found the office staff to be helpful, polite, and doing their best for everyone. It does take awhile to get through on the phone if you need to call. But every single medical clinic has long phone wait times. It's not new. Be realistic and understanding. You are not the only person who needs to call or see a specialist. You are one of hundreds. Put on a TV show and wait on hold, and above all else, be kind when you get on the phone. Everyone is doing their best, you should too.

I had a great experience with all the staff at Urology Associates. Instructions and paper work was well explained and given to me. Dr. Rangaswamy was very good from consultation to procedure and follow up.

I would not recommend this clinic and specifically, Dr. Egerdie. I was referred here with a kidney stone earlier this year. First of all, it took the clinic over a week to even respond to the referral giving me an appointment at a later date (2 weeks later, which was a long time but I had kind of expected that so it was fine). When that first appointment did come around, I waited a long time in the waiting room to see Dr. Egerdie for maybe a minute, and he almost immediately sent me away saying that there was nothing he could do until they got a CT scan. Clearly they just want to bill OHIP for an extra appointment and don't care that this is just prolonging by suffering. So by the time I was able to get in for the CT scan over a week later, I had already passed the kidney stone, which I had suspected but wasn't sure as I was still having some mild pain and so decided to go through with the scan as I understood is often advised. At my follow up, 2 weeks after the scan, Dr. Egerdie told me that the scan was clear and then proceeded to send my family doctor a note saying he didn't believe I had a kidney stone despite the ER doctors having seen it on an ultrasound. (Oh yeah, did I mention that by this point, I had been to the ER 3 times because the pain was so severe (and subsequently my blood pressure so high) that the morphine I had been prescribed by an ER doctor couldn't even give me relief. Not that Dr. Egerdie had even inquired about the pain...) So yeah, if you get referred here, I would recommend asking for a referral somewhere else where they actually care about the patients.

Very bad experience with this clinic. The receptionist don't explain anything to you and they expect people not to ask questions (lol). Dr Egredie removed me from his patient list without any notice and didn't want to write me my prescription asking me to go to a walk-in clinic!! When I asked him why, he got nervous and he said this is the system!!!" Very rude and impatient. They should treat people with some respect and have patience to explain!"
