Sheerness power station
Everytime I am having the craving for 780 MW of power generated by the combustion of sub-bituminous coal in Alstom boilers Sheerness is my go-to facility. ATCO and TransAlta have been preparing electrons here for over 30 years (in unit one) with those delicious electrons feeding many demand sources in east-central Alberta. If you want to try one of these sub-bituminous electrons you need to get there quick, as they plan on retiring in 2020 (though they may stick around a few more years), after that the menu will mainly be CH4 electrons which while good they lack the full character of sub-bituminous electrons.
