Honestly if we’re naming things that were discusting in the rbnb we wouldn’t be done naming them by tomorrow and we have the pictures to prove it. There was broken glass all over the balcony and if someone were to cut themselves because of how incredibly discusting it was we could have filed a complaint against you. We also had to pay 60$ for parking which was not mentionned in the add. The oven didn’t work the fridge was gross, the bathrooms weren’t clean at all and the floors were covered in sand, it was obvious the place hadn’t been properly cleaned in months.

No full kitchen as posted on website nor hotel booking sites, electric problems , no working stove or oven. Microwave goes out shorts out . No coffee maker in kitchen. Only electric teapot when electricity works. The girl at the restaurant counter is somewhat helpful. But don't expect them to come into your room and unlock your door while your trying to sleep . No one answers calls in evening so the girl at restaurant counter says she's the manager but I can't believe she came into my room and unlocked my door while I had to get sleep because had to sleep in my car the first night since couldn't get into building with code on door . So paid for a hotel room and sleep in a paid parking spot !!!! Called the guesthouse number four times and voicemail no one answers for emergencies like the Resuraunt front counter ( assistant ) says they would. Finally at 8am someone answers to give code to door and get into room later that morning only to be disturbed by front counter restaurant assistant !! By unlocking my door and coming to my bed and calling my name to wake me up. I was just falling to a good sleep at that time. So much for sleeping here . Some guesthouse , no privacy,broken lamps and bulb was taken out of my lamp when assistant came into my room when sleeping so I now don't have a lamp working again. Called Asst. To request a bulb but she said too late. Well I just noticed it missing when I came back to my room while I was gone during the day !! Didn't have any need for a light in daytime sun can beat straight into room window which makes it even hotter. I asked for a credit for first night since I didn't even get to use the room cause I was locked out of the building and she said she would see. I told her I may not stay here for the week since this is not up to proper standards for guests that I may be here only three days on the first day of trying to check in here. Since no full equipped kitchen ,no coffee maker which was requested in my comments to guesthouse.

1 star for the fact that I had a roof over my head in frigid weather, but aside from that it’s bad. Parking not included.

The property manager was very rude when I arrived for my stay. When I arrived the stairs to the door were lopsided and broken and my son hurt himself. I called to inquire as to how to get in and was told I had to pay a security deposit of $150 CND, which was fine. By the time she called back to tell me how to send it to her, she decided to raise the deposit to $500 CND!!! She told me it was because I had too many bags. I explained that I didn't have that much money and that I had nowhere else to go that night and she told me to call the police. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!

Do yourself a favour and do not stay here. I only took the room since every single other place was full, but I literally would have been better off sleeping outside.The entire building was very dirty and the room was way too hot so you wouldn’t be able to sleep anyways.I found the host to be rude and very reluctant to host us. Upon our arrival she claimed that my Toyota Tacoma was too big of a truck and that I had to pay double parking, and by parking I mean a patch of dirt behind the building riddled with garbage and waste.The total cost for me and my friend to stay and park was $170 which I believe is absurd.I recommend that nobody stays here ever again because the Somerset guest house is an excuse of a business.

They cancelled my reservation at 10am of the day I was supposed to check in.I had booked weeks in advance.

Terrible!!! I arrived at 3pm and the code that was sent by email to unlock the door didn’t worked. I called the phone and a women said to me that she would arrive in 10 minutes to solve the problem. More than 40 minutes after she arrived and said “Oh, we needed to change the code so previous guests can’t enter the building, the code is ****”. At that moment, all I could think was why she didn’t tell me the right code on the phone?! I had to stay for almost one hour waiting on the balcony. Then, she told me to wait MORE because she said that needed to clean the bedroom!!!! I stayed downstairs waiting for the poor cleaning she did, just sweeping the bedroom and throwing some garbage away. The house is smelly, smells like dirty. The bathroom is awful, I couldn’t take a shower there because was disgusting.The bedroom is REALLY HOT and they don’t turn on the central A/C. The pillows are dirty, the sheets smell like they were never changed.I should have read the reviews here before booking this terrible place. I am traveling around North America and this is definitely the worst place I’ve ever been. I am lucky that I only rented for 1 night, otherwise I would have to spend more money to go to another place.
