Ok

I have seen reviews for this man somewhere else and they were not nice. I went to see this man anyway and it was a waste of my time. I drive an hour and a half, in bad weather to be seen for five minutes. he gave a perscription and a booklet. Requested an MRI and sent me on my way. His manner is terrible. He does not care about you or your problem. It's one thing to read bad reviews about someone you have not met... it's another to want to be counted in writing a bad review and to feel the need to write one.

Doctor was not able to accurately diagnose a very serious disorder I very specifically asked him to look into. I'd had a note from a healthcare provider for him to check for als, As well as another doctor verbally requesting I be looked into for that. He not only did not diagnose for this, his office said I did not have this and not to worry. I was prescribed medication that made me feel worse and given bad advice. I asked to see a different neurologist, was denied by that hospital. I was sent instead to an oncologist, who realized I had a serious issue and needed a neurologist not oncologist... taking months longer for a very serious neurological disorder diagnosis.

He is very rude to myself when I have questions about my seizures

He is a straight to the point kind of doctor. Very knowledgeable and tells you what you can do to help or if nothing will help. Do not expect to be coddled and be straight to the point. Great doctor.

I've seen Dr. gawel on numerous occasions he is straight to the point and very professional. He is not one for idle conversation. He was always nice and answered all of my questions. I've seen some of the other reviews and to be honest if you had a bad experience with him well it's your own fault he's not going to hold your hand and talk slowly. If you are trying to screw an insurance company with overinflated symptoms... hes not going to help you but if you are truly having problems he will bend over backwards to find out why. I would definitely go to him again.
