I had my kitchen cupboards refinished about 18 months ago and was not happy with the original work. First, they brought the cupboard doors back still emitting toxic fumes, despite their assurances that they keep them in the shop until the fumes have dissipated. This was especially important to me as it was winter and we have our granddaughter here during the day and didn't want her exposed. After the nightmare of trying to keep the house aired out in the middle of winter, I noticed that there were many flaws on my cupboards that you could see, places where the finish wasn't smooth, where there wasn't enough paint, etc. I expressed my disappointment to the company and they did come and have a look. They decided they would redo the top cupboard doors (but not the bottom). When they brought them back, there were no fumes and they looked better, however shortly after that when I went to scrub a stain on one of them, the finish appeared to come off, like it didn't have a washable coating on it. Since then, there are a few places where the paint has chipped and I have had to use caulking to cover up some of the imperfections in their workmanship. I am verydisappointed after spending so much money. I have not complained to them again . I think in a few years I will get someone else to fix them. I see that they have many good reviews, so perhaps I was just very unlucky, however, just make sure you inspect your cabinets thoroughly before you pay for the work. I would have had much more leverage if I had not paid him that day and then inspected after he left. The cheque was cashed immediately, of course.
