Had high expectations for this place but wasn’t too impressed by it. Came in with a small group of friends for dinner on a weekend and we were one of the only groups there. However, service was still lengthy and we had to wait a while for our food. The food itself was a hit or miss. We liked certain dishes more than others like the loaded naan nachos. The burgers weren’t cooked that well so pass on that if you come here.

Angelina took our reservations and advised me on cheap local parking. Centrally located and the food was excellent as were the prices! A must visit on your way to the Princess of Wales theatre or TIFF lightbox! We'll be back for sure. Thanks Angelina!

My friend and I went to District Restaurant and Bar for dinner. They offer different drinks in special prices everyday day, but the waitress forgot to bring the menu so I had to pay full price for my drink. The food was very fusion and it tasted fine. Nothing special for a regular restaurant.

Second time visiting this place & I must say I'm mighty impressed with their food, the beer choices aren't too bad either. Service can be a bit slow, but it's a cozy enough place to sit at and wait, especially the back bar section. Had an oktoberfest from Sam Adams and a 'blue nachos' with steak for a main. On my last visit, I'd had the wagyu burger and the food both times was top notch, definitely visiting again

Delicious food with great flavors. Not your run of the mill menu. Lots of variety. The mocktails are so good.If you like brussel sprouts...you have to try them.

I don’t know if it’s healthy but this place makes me feel like I’m eating healthy, and that’s what counts! The drinks felt like I was taking an energy shot in the morning, but with alcohol so that’s great. I really enjoyed the chicken wings - they had a little bit of a kick to them. There were a lot of options for vegetarians…

I got the nachos. They had tons of really disgusting white cream on them, I’ve never seen that on nachos before and felt nauseous just looking at it. Didn’t taste good at all. I wasn’t impressed that the restaurant didn’t offer me something else when they realized I couldn’t eat them. They still charged me full price for them. They have a very limited food menu and the prices aren’t cheap for the amount of food you get. I don’t recommend this restaurant unless you’re only getting drinks. I got a Shirley temple and that was very well done so that’s why I gave this a 2 star rating instead of 1.

Can’t say anything about the food because I didn’t get to enjoy it, although the current menu has a couple of interesting vegan options.I made a reservation for Feb 12, 2023 (Sunday) for 7pm (the system will let you make reservations up to 8pm). When we arrived at 6:50pm, we were told that kitchen was about to close and we could only do drinks if we wanted to stay. Keep in mind, most restaurants serve food fairly late into the night in this area of Toronto…And the restaurant’s website mentioned nothing about the kitchen closing early. Thankfully, we had a great meal at Earls down the street, but this was a disappointing surprise.Really? Your kitchen closes at 6:50?? I was hoping to try the vegan nachos but I don’t think I’ll be returning.

I've been here before and after COVID. This place never disappoints. Healthy options that accommodate food allergies. Delicious, fresh food. Love everything on the menu. Happy hour is awesome!

I really loved the varied nature of the menu... I would describe it as a comfort food menu with a twist. Whether it is the purple potatoes and hummus accompanying your steak, or the activated charcoal as an ingredient in the dark comfort cocktail, the twists are edging on exotic. We really enjoyed our meals.The environment is comfortable, with faux wood walls, a map of the city in the 1850s adorning the front wall, and the led candle style string lights harkening to days long gone.Looking forward to coming again.
