Taco Time on 8th Street
First time I have had questionable service at Taco Time. Had a coupon for two can dine for $19.99 (even mentioned it while ordering at the drive thru) when I got to the window to pay I was told that I would only be getting just a little over $3 off due to price increases since the coupon’s came out. The meal, which I even ordered extra came to $32, then with the minor discount I still paid $29 and a few cents, still too much for a two can dine with an extra item ordered. I just don’t understand! When a person buys a coupon book to help with a fundraiser….last week, it isn’t even an old coupon book….the businesses should honor that price. Very poor of this restaurant. Please don’t participate in coupon books for fundraising if you can’t stand behind your prices.

The man who took my order was incredibly polite and kind, and was the first drive in person who didn’t DEMAND a tip, but kindly mentioned it. The only thing that I wish was different is that I ordered root beer and got Pepsi. Other than that this is a 10/10 would recommend. Good Work!

While I do love their crisp beef burritos, I’m actually not a huge fan of their new crispy burrito bites. It comes with 8 pcs in total but I’m not sure the price (lost the receipt and I ordered other stuff).It’s essentially same as the crisp beef but…cut down into smaller pieces. I find the “bite” size to be a bit awkward. Too big for one bite (for me anyway) but if I bite it in half, it falls apart.I rather get the full sized regular crisp beef burrito.I’ve always only ever go through drive-thru and the service has been great! However for a fast-food restaurant, it’s a much longer wait compared to many places (esp for drive-thru). I waited so long that the cashier tried to take my order again cause she thought I was a new customer (when in fact, I’ve never moved an inch since she first took my order……)The wait is typically worth it since the food is piping hot and delish! But maybe going inside will be quicker?

We used to get food from here all the time but quality has gone down immensely. We got food tonight and it was not how it used to be very soggy and not put together at all. And the hot sauce is very watery and not hot. Spent $50 that I can’t get back now

Had a quick lunch here today - the service was good - there was a young man being trained and the fellow training him was patient and pleasant with the trainee and was friendly with us. We will definitely stop here again the next time we need a quick bite when we are in the city.

Haven't been to a Taco Time in a while and I’m really glad I stopped in today. The staff here is super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. There are a good number of vegetarian options and this location is very clean. BTW, the food was also fresh and made with care.

It has been a long time since I’ve been to a Taco time, but I think this was my last. I got the taco salad which is now $12.00, about twice the price since I last got one, and it was unbelievable on how cheap this chain has gotten!Server “ do you want hot sauce”Me “yes, lots please”Server- hands one little shot glass of hot sauce.Me “could I please have a few more?”Server hands me one more.Then the sour cream (dressing) wasn’t even put on the salad like they used to. It was the same shot glass amount. There wasn’t enough hot sauce or sour cream to drip onto the bowl that is supposed to be eatable. The taco salad was sad. Mostly just filler lettuce. It is not like they used to make. I hope the whole chain closes for good!There should be a special on chicken there soon. You can hear the chicks “cheap, cheap, cheap”

If i could rate this lower I would. They not only over charged us for a meal but double charged us double for the one burrito in each of our combo meals. All we got was 2 burritos with tots and soda and some desert.When we called the restaurant to ask for clarification amd why the meal was so expensive amd why we were double charged. The manager was rude, dismissive, and implied that I was mentally handicapped and was completely wrong. The staff also at drive through before we paid demanded a tip. But at that price and that dis-service I regret tipping and was not impressed. We could have gone to a sit down returant for the same price and much better service.

Waited in the drive thru for 10 minutes only to get tacos in a bag that had zero lettuce zero cheese and zero tomato just sour cream and meat. DISGUSTING. Lazy employees today July 8th 2023 1:00pm

The tables need to be monitored to be cleaned sooner. I realize they were training some newbies but clean tables make a big difference to enjoying the atmosphere.
