Brain Power Enrichment Programs

I've only spent a year at Brain Power, but I can confidently say that it has completely changed the way I think and approach academic writing! Karine and Jason provided me with so much support and guidance, both in and outside of class, and I was able to learn so much from them. The staff genuinely wants their students to succeed, and they are always willing to help. I've attended several extracurricular programs throughout the past few years, but I've never enjoyed an enrichment program as much as I've enjoyed Brain Power!

I’ve been signing up my two boys for a variety of after school enrichment programs over the years, and have been most impressed with Brainpower. With other programs my boys always complained either that they are boring, the teachers don’t care, or the engagement is really low, and there’s a lot of wasted time. My 11 year old has been taking the Mechanics of Writing course since January 2022 and even though the subject matter is not thrilling (basically English grammar and writing skills), he really enjoys it and has remained engaged for many months now. He especially loves his teacher (Jason Boulet), who has managed to teach this course in a way that continually interests the kids, and online too! The assessments and feedback provided on the weekly homework and assignments are also better than I’ve seen from his regular school teachers. Way to go Brainpower! You seriously know how to teach kids and find great teachers as well!

My son has been attending Brain Power’s language arts class for almost one year. He loves the classes and his instructor Hannah. The class settings are very smooth. My son likes the tests and the riddles. He’s excited to share his tests with us after every class. Hannah makes the classes fun and kids absorb the knowledge without any difficulty. The after class communication between Hannah and the parents is highly efficient. Hannah shares a summary every week after the class. Parents get to know the key point for every class, as well as homework. And my emails to Hannah always get replied promptly. Makeup classes are set up immediately once I contact them. My son is already asking us to register him for next school year. And we will also try the math class here for next school year. Hopefully my son will enjoy it too.

My daughter enrolled Brain Power Language Art program this year. She really enjoyed the class. The instructors are so helpful and supportive. I see a big improvement for my daughter's reading and writing. We are so grateful!!! We met wonderful staff and instructors. They are all so supportive. We communicated so well regarding my daughter's progress. I highly recommended Brain Power. They care your kids!!! We will definite continue for all the classes they offered.

Brain Power is an incredible extracurricular school with an accelerating, challenging and innovative learning style.General school programs seem slow to me, and I was looking for opportunities to grow and expand my knowledge faster, as well as experience challenges and enjoy classes.Brain Power has helped me move forward and achieve my goals. I had a fantastic experience at this school. It also happened that for the last three years I was a student of a Francophone school, and Brain Power was the only school that mastered my English. Brain Power has helped me not only improve my English skills, but also exceed my expectations. I won the Canadian Spelling Bee twice in a row in 2020 and 2021.The teachers and staff are top-notch and extremely dedicated to the success of their students and support them in real life. They are always ready to help, even though they are very busy. For example, I founded the non-profit organization Kids4Kids Global, which provides free mentoring and educational opportunities for children around the world, and Dr. Karine Rashkovsky (she was my English teacher for two years) and Vanessa Iarocci (CEO of Brain Power) became our board advisors and helped us a lot.Brain Power completely shaped me into who I am today. Dr. Karine Rashkovsy and Vanessa Iarocci not only helped me improve my English skills, but also helped me a lot in my life outside of school. Moreover, they continue to support me on the way to my goals. Thus, Brain Power is useful for all life.I highly recommend Brain Power to all students to enrich and challenge their education and learn how to give back to society to make the world a better place.

My son has been attending the Brain Power enrichment program for Maths and English for couple of years now. We have witnessed great progressive improvement in academic performance and learning attitude. Teachers here are enthusiastic, highly capable and the information is taught in a concise way. We are glad to have enrolled our son in this institute. I cannot thank the teachers and institute enough.

I was a student at Brain Power for several years, and took English, Math, and Science courses during my time there. I personally had a great experience there - I was allowed to ask questions and the programs expanded my knowledge of things I knew while also introducing new concepts to explore in detail every week. I enjoyed how the classes were made with engagement and participation in mind, so that everyone could have a civil discussion about the topics at hand. The classes frequently allowed hard conversations and always upheld formality and academic professionalism. The teachers and staff were welcoming and encouraging. I definitely recommend Brain Power's programs.

I have two sons who are both enrolled in various Brain Power courses such as Language Development, Public Speaking and SSAT prep courses. I have seen them both thrive as a result of the enriched curriculum as well as the genuine interest that the teachers take in each student’s development. Both my children had different needs. While the older one required a challenge, the younger one needed the right learning environment that would be conducive to establishing a strong foundation in the area of reading and writing. The feedback provided by all the teachers is detailed, timely and constructive. Specifically, my children have had the pleasure in learning from many great teachers such as Kaitlin, Hannah, and Karine. The Brain Power learning program consistently creates an environment allowing the students to reach their full potential. The boys always look forward to the rich discussion and the fun they have with their respective teachers. This is especially true where despite the challenging times, Brain Power has seamlessly adapted to the virtual learning platform. I would highly recommend enrolling in the Brain Power programs to enrich and challenge your child's education.

It was such a pleasure to get to work with Brainpower's Hamilton Campus Headmaster, Partnerships Director, and Instructor, Cassandra Chapman! Cassandra created an amazing educational and interactive presentation for our 2022 retreat titled How to use your voice to influence other people

A couple of years ago I took 3 online courses here. Public speaking was probably one of the best courses I took! I got to write my own speech and the teacher was very nice. I also took language arts, which was okay, I ended up reading a story and finding parts of speech in it and writing an essay. But math is what was really complicated. I feel like the teacher didn't really teach us what we needed on the homework. The homework was mainly about mathematic puzzles which honestly were pretty complicated. The things our instructor was teaching us were integers and some complicated things with brief confusing explanations. I ended up getting a lot wrong on my homework, leading me to not even do the homework. Keep in mind that I was quite young at the time. Honestly, if you want to put your kids in here go for it! I would recommend to put them in a bit lower for math since it can get pretty overwhelming. Anyways I would really recommend public speaking!
