Thornhill Village Library

The most divine library! Easy chairs, a quiet room, plenty of space with awesome natural light and a garden growing outside the windows! The Staff are fabulous, very welcoming and they have a great kid corner.

Been using this branch ever since the pandemic situation. The curbside pickup process is super easy - display your card through the window where it will be scanned, and your held items will be brought to you. Plenty of parking spots along the local streets and is always a quick stop for me.

A cute resource that's an extension of the Thornhill village experience.. the garden around the house is fantastic

It is a very nice place to visit and study. When entering the western entrance. The right side is a big room with large print and DVDs. The left side will lead you to kids area, fiction, non-fiction area. The study room does not need a reservation. The whole environment is quiet and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The parking along the road side and backyard is good. If you park backyard, be prepared to back out. At least for me, I do not know how to turn around in the small area.

Small and cosy library with an understandingly limited collection of books, magazines, and movies.What it lacks in size, it makes up with the atmosphere, where it's more relaxed and quiet than other libraries that's more conducive to reading.

I’ve lived in so many cities that I must have like 5 library cards in my name but this is my FAVOURITE library to come to! Although there are bigger, newer libraries, this quaint library will forever have my heart. It looks like a quintessential antique home, with a beautiful garden in the back to read in. Within this wonderful compact space, it has everything you’d need, including reading areas, study rooms, a children’s playing area, and a computer lab. The library is small, and therefore doesn’t have the widest selection of books, so I usually have to place books on hold and have them transported over. However it’s so worth it because the librarians here are amazing! I’ve discovered some of my FAVOURITE books from their recommendations, and you can tell they are true book lovers from their wealth of knowledge.

I had to go here because my home library was closed due to covid restrictions. It's tiny, quaint, has loads of DVD media, loads of books for all ages. it's a little gem of a library. I was really pleasantly and unexpectedly surprised.

I have been using this branch off and on since 2014. It's a quiet place to work on a laptop, a little oasis with lots of windows overlooking trees and flowers in summer, and there's a good selection of books and videos on the shelves. Now during lockdown, you can go to the MPL website, place holds on items, they email you, and you pick up your items at the Curbside window.
