Working with Legacy Kennels to choose the right puppy for our family was a breeze. Darrin was super personable, a fast responder to questions and made the entire process as simple as possible. Would recommend to anyone interested in adopting a Bernedoodle in/from BC.

Darrin of Legacy Kennels has been excellent throughout the entire process. My wife and I decided on a puppy in relatively quick fashion and our new pup was available, so we had her in her new home in a matter of days - despite the fact that we live near Calgary and the kennel is on Vancouver Island. Frequent and personal communication directly with Darrin gave us confidence that everything would go smoothly. His support with great information and sources of additional information have been helpful. Most importantly, our new puppy was clearing well taken care of for the first 8 weeks of her life. She's adorable and very well behaved for a puppy her age. Thanks to Legacy for this addition to our family!

We adopted Daisy, our 8 week old mini Bernanoodle puppy from Legacy Kennels 2 days ago. She is a sweet, happy, smart, calm and wonderful addition to our family. Darrin patiently answered our many questions. We also spoke to 2 recent clients of his who highly recommended him. Since we live in Vancouver, Darrin provided a virtual tour of his kennel which is located on Vancouver Island. During this tour we were also able to meet" Daisy before we made the final decision to adopt her. I will highly recommend Legacy Kernels to anyone interested in adopting mini Bernedoodle."

We couldn’t be happier with Darren and his wife at Legacy Kennels. It’s obvious that they love their pups. Their kennels are top notch and the property is amazing, really giving their dogs the freedom to roam amongst old growth trees and the ocean. Having our new family member Beau come from one happy home to another was important to us.

We have been dog owners for 40 years. We have always purchased our dogs from local breeders except for our last dog who passed away recently which we got from a breeder in Edmonton. When our last dog passed away we were not quite ready to adopt a new puppy, we thought we would wait a while before we get a new puppy. But we came across the breed Bernedoodle and thought they would be a good fit for us. We did some research and reached out to several breeders and there are quite a few scammers out there. We came across Legacy Kennels’ website and found a puppy we loved that was available. We reached out to them and had a few email exchanges and phone conversations with Darrin. We found him to be forthcoming and easy to deal with and we felt comfortable with dealing with him. We had a lot of questions and he was very accommodating with our requests. We went through with all the paperwork to secure our puppy. We went to his place in Swartz Bay on the day we picked up our puppy and he gave us a tour of the facilities.Wow, these puppies have better quality of living than a lot of people! The facilities are clean and well maintained and there is a lot of room for the dogs to play and exercise. The dogs are clean and healthy and happy and well looked after. We usually like to meet with the breeders and have a visit at the breeders facilities and look at the puppies before we make a decision but we weren’t able to because of the distance. We were a little apprehensive putting a deposit down without meeting the breeder and visiting the facility but that all went out the window when we arrived at Legacy Kennels. There are so many unscrupulous breeders and scammers out there and the process of adopting a puppy is often an emotional one. They will become part of your family. One has to be careful and approach the process with a lot of research before making a decision. There are many stories about people got scammed out of a lot of money or ended up with a puppy with multiple health problems.Legacy kennels and working with Darrin was absolutely one of the best experiences we had in adopting a new puppy.We give them a five star rating and recommend them without reservation.

I searched for several months for a North American bernedoodle breeder who is meticulous in caring for the parents and the puppies. I wanted an ethical breeder who held the health and well-being of his dogs as top priority. Darrin practices these values in his program.Darrin is patient and so kind with his time: he responded to my numerous calls and e-mails regarding the parents' genetic reports, health inquiries, demeanours and tips on taking care of a bernedoodle. Darrin let us visit his facilities to meet the dame and select our puppy in person! I'll never forget the experience!Legacy Kennels runs a very tidy, hygienic and stimulating environment for the puppies. The puppies are well taken care of in the whelping area and very positively stimulated in their environment to ensure they become physically well-rounded puppies with enjoyable demeanours.We selected a male bernedoodle. He's the most affectionate, cuddly puppy I ever met and I am glad he is my puppy. He is the neighborhood showstopper with his stunning markings and lovely, social behaviour. He's also a smart pup who quickly learns!Thank you so much, Darrin! The experience in finding the perfect puppy has been exceptionally positive. I couldn't be happier with my new family member.

We are settling in after the arrival of our new puppy after a long cross country journey from Victoria to Toronto. Darrin was more than happy to FaceTime to see the puppies and tour the facilities since we couldn’t be there in person. We were nervous about having the puppy flown all that way but he is absolutely perfect and was happy from the time we picked him up. Such a seamless transition and I would highly recommend Legacy Kennels to anyone looking to get a puppy:)

Legacy Kennels is an exceptional place. The set up is completely a 5 star kennel, I was so impressed with the quality and service provided. I absolutely love our little fur baby Rosie as her temperament and love truly shines every day. Thank you so much for your excellent service and we certainly praise your kennel to everyone we can.

I am the proud Mommy of Bentley , 8 week old Mini Bernadoodle.he came home almost a week ago and has been simply amazing ! He had one accident he gets “you do your business outside.” He is very smart and fast learner . Love him over the moon . He is calm much like the breeder, Darrin. I visited Legacy Kennels 3 times and I must say I was very impressed with the way the kennel is set up and the great care and love the puppies receive as well as mommies and dad . I felt no pressure from Darrin he wanted to make sure I picked the right puppy for me . His location is ideal for the doggies and for us to pick up the puppy. He is right off the ferry .
