The Capital Fair
After a 2 year hiatus due to the pandemic I was truly disappointed. Some Rides for teens and adults are missing , classic food vendors that were always there are not there. Classic games like birthday game not there. And yet same price as always. Def toned down fair. It's sad. Not even bumper cars there.

The Capital Fair
Had an awesome day. Went August 20th. Every ride was no more than a 5-10 minute wait. The axe people were awesome and the birds of prey show. Really enjoyed the games and won a giant green dragon. Food was not to over exaggerated in price and the mini doughnut lady gave me sooo many for $7. Can't wait for next year guys!

Pros;- Parking was only $5- Admittance was only $10.Cons;- Poor selection of games, maybe 6 that anyone over the age of 10 would bother playing. They were also priced ridiculously high.- Food vendors were very blah and expensive, $11 for a lemonade ? Lol. Selection was rivaled by any mall food court. No cool fair food" to speak of.Very small fair in general

Good for kids rides under 5.The fair grounds are pretty run down and not very well taken care of.Food is good, especially donuts. Hot & freshLemonade was expensive especially because it seems they forgot the lemonade aspect of it...Paid for tickets but was charged for a bracelet (7$ more than expected). The ticket booth closed and no staff were to be found or info/help desk to discuss and dispute the issues. No reciept offered or given, just tap your card & here's your tickets. Didn't see the charge until I received a notification on my phone2/5 would not go back.

Great vendors, games and rides. Very happy with the grounds and staff. Everyone was friendly and polite. My kids had a blast.

There were lots or rides for kids and we had a great day. Definitely worth getting early price tickets online. Otherwise it’s pricey but still worth getting day passes to fully enjoy. Wish they had better food options and more bathrooms but in general it’s worth taking your family. We had a great time and plan on going next year.

It was my first time at the capital fair since moving to this location. All around it was a good experience. We got the ride bracelet from quickie in advance and found it worth it.There is a decent selection of rides for both kids and adults. Most of the food kiosks were peanut free which was amazing!! The vendors I found very disappointing. The baby change area left much to be desired but it exists so that's something.You are allowed reentry but you'll be parked in a field with tall grass. There is no smoking on site. All In all it is no super ex but we had fun. Except for the slush puppy that was only cold water and syrup!

If you a a parent going solo - don't bother. There are two astronomical lines, one for admissions and a second one for ride tickets. If you are in a group you can keep your place. Solo parent? You get to walk to the back of each line with your kids. Of course, no one was there to say there are two lines until you've been in line for 15 minutes.Paid for parking, ended up leaving without ever getting in because the ride ticket lineup was several hundred folks long and I was expected to start at the end of both lines after standing in one for 15 minutes. And no, there was no visible markings there were two lines.

I had to give one star to give this review. The capital fair was not a good experience for younger kids. There was no games for them to try and the kids tent was not something I would recommend to anyone. The event has been pushed out to the Rideau race track away from the site on bank street in the glebe area and has become something not a family could afford during these times. If you ask me the organizers should really look at themselves to get a better event together. This was not the same as the ones from the past.

Fun time...very pricey if you ask me though. Not a lot of shaded areas for the kids. Would have been nicer if you could take in your own drinks at least, especially in the heat and with the price of drinks!
